gee those are big jugs.....i mean mugs..
^ derndalls (sp?) are the best thing about Oktoberfest.
Dirndl....
i think the lederhosen rocks more..
it's dirndls.
just for that, i'm posting another pic.

^^^^^^ that looks more like a Halloween party

i will definately be there! we are hitting up concordia this saturday. we might do the parade on monday too even though its pretty brutal. just another excuse to drink though! lol
i've done the aud before, and bingemans but i'd say concordia is the best place to go if you are going for the first time. you'll have to get scalped tickets though because it's been sold out for months.
My buddy can't make the guv, so I may be heading up to K-to-da-Wizo myself

Holy jesus god I live next door and I had forgotten about this.
I've been wanting to go to Kitchener for another reason spefically but this is just a great alternative. (Esp if things go sour).
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
I think I'm doing Concordia on Wed. Not sure yet
Schwaben Club ftw.

Okay so I'm looking at the Oktoberfest site and have no idea what I'm doing.
What's the good party to go to for serious Germanic drinking?
Duder... if you live Cambridge & don't know this by now, I'm very concerned about your ability to leave your house lol.
That said, here are my fav's from my experience from growing up & attending university in KW: (in no specific order)
1) Concordia - it's the biggest, it's the craziest, & you'll need buy from scalpers to get in now
2) Schwaben - my favourite best food, imported kegs (none of that Molson Canadian bullshit), & dirndls a plenty; smaller venue, so eventually you get to know everyone in the place; & it's the home of the "sobriety test" the chicken dance played & danced in reverse (gotta love the brothers Ofack in the band!!!!)
3) Queensmount - home of Walter Ostanek, the King of Polka, and a solid gender ratio... beware of spillage on the floor, as every year there are a number of beer spill slippage related head injuries
4) The Aud university students everywhere... kind of like an Oktoberfest pick up bar if that's what you're looking for
5) Bingemanns - good old total gong show
After careful consideration, I'd be hard pressed to be convinced to go anywhere other than those 5... the Alpine club isn't bad, but outside of the above, you're better off waiting until next year & going to one of those.

I like in Cambridge and I've still never been to Oktoberfest....fack! lol
you need tickets? I figured it's something to just drop by in or something.
Tickets for Concordia Club sell out in July.
Most of the others are gone by September.
