Also, that Lorenzo track is the fucking shit. Easily my favorite tune of the set.

Posted by woscar on Oct-13-2008 16:26:

Listening to this at work, 25 minutes in and I'm down with it. There was a kinda weird transition at around 24 minutes but I'm loving the musics!

Posted by bas on Oct-14-2008 19:27:

Well I kinda made that intro edit, and I'm Egyptian. Although it's not very groovy :/

Posted by tubularbills on Oct-14-2008 23:47:

never heard any of these tracks - but its deep house. and its bas. so it must be good!

this damn slow ass DSL is making it almost 2 hours to download! LOL

very nice happy housey mix

reminded me a little of the move d set at sunday best

good shit. the lorenzo and bernard badie tracks are awesome, and i forgot how effective 'connect' is. gonna have to bring that out again this weekend. that track is like a fat man grabbing your ankles on the floor

thanks for sharing

pretty sick set. First set of yours I've actually listened to.. partly cause I've been getting into the deep house sound a lot myself. So far I'm 30 minutes in and really groovy!

Glad you like it Adam, means a lot coming from you

Thanks Shudder, I've been becoming a little more confident with playing deeper house lately. I've had it forever, just never really though it would "fit in"...luckily I managed to find a group of people with similar interests so it's been a lot easier

Fixed

Anyways, finally made it all the way through without interruptions. Loved your set man, I've only heard you play techy stuff before and this was a nice surprise. This style really suits you well.

This was good man, but not your best. Still enjoyed it

your turn you egyptian cotton ball you.

Intro was a bit winded, it'll do just fine in a lounge setting. But loving the chill/deep-but-not-too-deep sound directly following for the next two tracks. Solid groove throughout, i was moving in my office chair and got co-workers staring.

this is totally something i'd listen to on a nice chill summer evening, outdoor party. maybe a Miami patio party or some shit like that. you can dance and groove or sit back and enjoy your drink. so there's enough funk for either. the track around the half-hour mark sounds very buttsecks. love it.

there's a slight pick up in energy that moves with the track selection. it got just a tid bit more melodic and a great little move (whether intentional or not) to move the set from sounding too repetitive. it's still working with what was going on before, but just a little more hitch in the giddyup right up into Fly - Music (great use of some old school vocals from a Tenaglia track)... so it was almost like a set up.

The last two tracks do well to close it out, Love Jam provides some form of comedown. At Night of course brings out your disco diva side... you couldn't resist could you?

Awesome set with a bit of contrast to the one I listened before this (Kenny's). Whereas his had all types of epic tracks and no flow, this was was very chill right up until the last couple of tunes, and had a fuckin' groove and a half for the whole time I was listening.

Great job Bassy, would love to play with you one day.

edit: i can almost guarantee that any unicorn trance lover might just hate this mix and think it's dry and boring... just an afterthought. there's a lot of subtle shine to it all, but definitely not noticeable to someone who likes to get aurally fucked by music.

Yeah it wouldn't be meant for them anyway

Thanks for the comments, glad you liked

As for that Shakedown track, I regret not playing the Buttrich mix, it's soso osos osooo much better...I feel like I kind of forced that Serge Santiago mix in there. Oh well.

Keep an ear/eye out for Soundstream, they're making moves right now.
