Adam A7 are out of my price range....Event ASP6 look good.....what about krk vxt8, they have 37Hz - 22kHz +/-1.5dB VS event 40Hz - 20kHz, +/-3dB, ref. 500Hz....event does have more wattage though....

From what I've heard, KRKs tend to sound boomy and suppressed in the mids. Maybe the new series is better, I don't know?
Monitor preference is very individual, so you should really listen to them yourself.
I'd say the extra price is worth it for the ADAMs. The A7 has even won several awards. It uses the same ribbon tweeter technology as their high end monitor line.

Maybe a dumb question but can there be TOO much treatment? I just found a guy selling a TON of 1x1 auralex pads, enough to cover every inch of my walls and was wondering if it would be overkill or if covering that much with auralex pads is actually a good thing.

Try going on auralex.com. There is a section on their site where you can submit room dimension and it will provide you with the kit you should purchase and placement tips. You can also look at these other sites. www.atsacoustics.com - www.gikacoustics.com

You don't just want to cover your walls and spend money without looking at different options. Just covering your walls may not be the right solution...

Also take a look at tweakheadz.com in the forum section there are tons of posts related to room treatment. Hope this helps

Glad I could help.........If you want to save cheese....google DIY acoustic panels.....Auralex is great if you don't mind the cosmetic appearance and you have a big budget.

Guys is 60 1x1' Auralex pads and 4 Auralex bass pads all for $100 US a good bargain?

I would need to make a considerable drive to get these and I'm trying to figure out if its worth it.

Thanks!

Based on your dimensions, John Storyk would tell you to build a closet.
