This thread is going to stop me from sleeping tonight.

As it gets hotter they seem to want to come out more often... and its pretty warm today Iv never been bitten or anything because the ones I encounter are always harmless ones but they freak me the fuck out!

One time I was walking and felt something tickle the back of my head, I felt around with my hand and shat my pants because I instantly knew it was a spider. I threw the bitch off and it was easily the size of my hand.

What kind of shacks do you plebs live in?

I don't get spiders in my house.

I could never live in Australia.

I live in a single room hut made of dried kangaroo droppings.

LMAO. I don't get many around either. Plenty of birds around to sort that out

That's city living though. Where I grew up, there was heaps of rainforest, so DAMN we'd get some interesting critters. Probably why they don't freak me out too much now.

I fucking hate spiders.....mostly

I'm always coming across big spider's around where I live. The other day I was walking down my street, looking at the ground. In this gap between a tree on the side of the road and a neighbors fence was this huge spider/web I didn't know was there, I luckily looked up in time and it was about 3 inches from my face. Freaked the fuck out of me!
Generally they don't bother me but don't like getting them on me.
Australia is still a great place to live despite the spiders and kangaroos.

Please, everyone and their dog has seen those pictures. And heard all the myths about them.

I do not like spiders. When I was living in mexico, the deadliest spider or one of the deadliest can be found in houses. It's called the black widow..I'm sure the usa has some of those too..if you get bitten, you need to go to the hospital to get injected. The thing is that they are so small...they usually don't get and try to bite you if you do not molest them but still, when you are sleeping you never if you move it might think you want to molest or something. The neighbor was bitten and went straight to the hospital..her leg was somehow not working well cause it paralyzes the nervious system.

I thought when you got bit by a black widow, you just swolle up and thats it.

I remember ewan mcgregor (sp?) got bitten by one and he just carried on in his bike documentary.
