WMC is an excuse for Miami clubs to charge overpriced drinks ($13/cocktail) after waiting on line for 2 hours, and tax drivers to skip you because you're not going to a location where they can maximize their profits. It's worth it for your first trip, but you definitely get diminishing returns the subsequent times. |

always a fun experience, so go if you can
Tickets are more expensive during WMC actually since they bring in all that high priced talent and the demand is so high.
Although Space and its sister clubs last year had this "Fuck You" bracelet which was VIP access to all the events at those clubs for the week. And assuming you went to all the shows, it was definitely worth it.
It also said it gave you immediate access which is a huge plus. Because as whoever said it, waiting in line is a real problem during WMC.
My friend and myself must've waited an hour and a half to get our tickets so we could "skip the lines at the actual clubs".
We did not skip any lines. Aside from accidentally maneuvering ourselves into Nocturnal (we accidentally got into the VIP line because security told us it was the pre-bought line, but they went ahead and let us in), we had to wait a shit load of time for every other club.
Events will be oversold and expensive. Make no mistake of it. And the Fire Marshall chooses to be a big asshole during WMC too. He likes to inspect clubs for over capacity. And as I said, the events will be over sold so capacity will be reached fast.
I honestly hope none of that negative stuff I mentioned deters you from going. Because I cannot say it enough. Anjunabeats @ Nocturnal WAS AMAZING!!!! And then Armada Night @ Parkwest was something special too!
My advice, get a place as close to the club area as possible, and show up earlier than you think you would need to. Because lines are a bitch. It's not even funny. Only downside to WMC. Lines. You wait in lines to wait in lines it's so bad.
I want to go this year since I live here
and I'm going to try to make the boyfriend comeeeee. Maybe he can tag along with one of you guys?

Yeah, like this year, I remember seeing so and so playing here and someone else playing there. I was just hoping they didn't overcharge for each show. Sounds like it may get pricy if you're paying over 50 bucks for one show. I will have to look into those multi-day passes too. But like I said, this year the best ones to me were all over the place, so depends on whose where. Is it not possible to buy tickets ahead of time so you don't have to worry about getting in? Sounds like if I do go, I'll have to do some major saving though.
I never had to wait in line.

Agreed. I think the most expensive ticket I bought was $35. I didn't pay to enter Space though. I remember the Prydz show running at $100 if you hadn't bought presales a month before.
