Hey Freak I finally got around to listening to Meet the Wangs and it is some really heavy shit! I was wondering, how the hell do you find these tracks that are really good yet I've never even heard of?? It seems like you dig really deep into the world of minimal and techno. How much time every week do you normally spend on finding new music?
Thanks man.
I post a lot on TA...and when i am posting I usually am listening to samples at the same time. So i guess the answer would be too much time
ps: that is the most "minimal" mix i did, the others are closer to house/tech house.
Cheers elFreak. I like your sets.

| Originally posted by elFreak dark sun machine is on the fatter side, but i'm not sure about breaks man as i never really played them. I think Das Klub Muppet has as Museam track that uses the amen break in it, but i would not really call it breaks. Your ears might bleed in that one |
thanks for listening. man...try the first set dubam. Dark Sun Machine is up your alley...i promise.
I'll take your word for it, grabbin after work.
the end is very relevant to hockey...1 gold star if you get it
I never get it, can I have silver medal instead? Very relevant in Finnish hockey.
just try.
hint: moby dick.
ps...there are no medals for 4th place

I really enjoyed "save the unicorns" just wondering those vocals at the beginning, were they just a dj tool or did you just do an edit to the pablo bolivar track , i know in the first track it says edit but it seems that the vocals go all the way through the 3rd track.
edit for the first track, and during the the break into the 3rd i just cued a loop once
all those vocals are loops under 20 seconds, it would have been a little hard to do that on the fly.
i need to play catch up on a lot of your mixes...i can assume about when the sets were done based on tracklists, but if you get bored one day...rough dates would be nice
thanks for taking interest. I will update with dates when i get a little more free time
I recommend titling ur next mix "Al-Freak" for ur Arab fans.
terrible track selection and mixing in almost every set
thanks for the bump.

Can't be AGQ, grammars pretty tolerable.
As for these sets, they've pretty much been going nonstop on the old ipod. Way too much to talk about so I'll just say I've enjoyed pretty much all of them, the atmosphere you tend to create with your sets grabs me every time.
lol i just added a noob set at the bottom of the original post where you can expect suspect mixing just for kaity (and shits n giggles.)
you should add dates to the sets... which is more recent? top or bottom?
ok if my memory serves me right the order is
dark sun machine (may 2007)
insomniac delights (july 2007)
ze germans killed tupac (october 2007)
berlin part 1, 2 , 3 (the set is live has a date in the tag)(october 2007)
ichs mein tex mechs (november 2007)
hot festivus nuts (dec 2007)
an evening with itchy hottin (jan 2008)
das klub muppet (feb 2008)
meet the wangs (march 2008)
le cauchemar (july 2008)
save the unicorns (sept 2008)
downloading the unicorns..
anything with pablo bolivar can't be total bullshit... lets see how hard it tries!
hope you like the edit i did with it
