I already said why... because in the past when I did, the visceral hatred that people in this forum have for Rush pre-emptively stopped the discussions from happening when they saw his name sourced; so I tried it without putting his name there and I found people were actually paying attention to the content of the words more.

yeah, actually it does explain why. What's not to understand? Here it is again: I want to have a discussion about a topic. The particular topic happens to be about something I am in total agreeance with Rush about. He communicates the message better than I do, which I think will make it easier for you guys to understand where I'm coming from. In the past, citing Rush has lead to an instant bias that stops the discussion from happening before it starts. So, I tried using the same words, of which I already agree with, without citing his name and I found that people were more likely to actually read the content and have the discussion instead of saying "Rush is the source? Fuck this." Unfortunately, you're right... people will discredit what I say because of this, even if I believe they should understand where I'm coming from. So, I will cite again and we'll see if it works out or reverts back to past examples. I'll admit, it happens to me too when I see someone source the Huffpo or Kos... right away I have no interest in reading it and I'd be more likely to listen without that inherant bias by seeing those sources

The topics come fast and furious... when a hot one comes up that I hear about, I don't have time to write a fucking term paper to your liking. So in the case if the issue this thread began with, which I was interested in making into a discussion, I put together the best laid out set-up for it (from my perspective) using Rush's words. But you are assuming I was passing the words off as my own... I was not. If anyone asked for a source, I would have given it. Sometimes I lay out the source, sometimes I don't. When people ask for it, I never say, "I'm the source bro... those are my ideas." I already explained why I didn't source HIM in particular; because you and others with your viewpoints are less likely to actually get into the discussions if you see his name, and you pay more attention to a topic's content when it's not there. Sometimes I like to see what you have to say about an issue, so if that's the best way to do it, that's what I'll do.

When did you become the decider of what constitutes as substance and what doesnt? I won't be losing any sleep at night if my explanations don't please you or garner your approval. Fortunately for me, I don't view you as some kind of standard bearer for anything other than being a fat angry jerkoff (yes, I've seen a photo of you, Humpty-Dizz). But didn't you read, he's so much more busy than all the rest of us that he doesn't have time to come up with his own ideas. Your professors in college would have accepted that defense, right?

Secondly, The17sss, why do you think that we care more about Rush's stupid statements than any that you've come up with. They're both on pretty equal terms when it comes to sheer idiocy (though like Lebez stated, we're now not sure when you have actually made your own statements as opposed to copy & pasting).
