i did not go to this event for the music because if i did i would have been severely disappointed. i would actually call myself a fan of armin's and honestly last night was far from impressive. the set as a whole was just ok, a good trance set takes you on a journey of sorts and i was taken nowhere. also, not to be picky because every dj does it but there was a period of time where his mixing was questionable and he was tranwreaking all over the place
. i've never heard him trainwreak like he did last night which surprises me because i may not always be a huge fan of his track selection i know the man knows how to mix really well. anyone know if he was having technical difficulties? anyhow, there were good tracks here and there which was nice but i'm over going to hear armin purely for the music...
musically the event was a C but socially it was a A
love seeing all the usuals and those others who only come out once in a while. fortunately i got my musical fix at pacha for angello & ingrosso afterward who ripped it up proper at pacha
.
i take it back, apparently acoustics were off. although i've never experienced those issues with pvd and i was in the same places
i dont remember armin trainwrecking at all. as for the set, he played like 12 to 5:15ish didn't he??
i had a really good time, i went to where you guys picked out to meet up but noone was there
.

noiiiice
he spun from about 12 - 5:20 or so.. there was minimal cheese, some of you are retarted. and if you don't like the cheese, don't go. simple as that. sick night, armin killed it. #1 dj in the world and some of you are pissed hahaha.. $80 well spent.

He absolutely killed it. I enjoyed his set until the very last minute when i had to leave about 4:30...
Highlight of my night... "In and out of Connection" AVB vs. Jochen Miller Mash-up....
Anyone know what happend though with that fight/brawl about half an hour into his set in the middle back section? That was stupid.

The video added a nice touch too. Clips of "The Shining"
I got to Roseland near the end of Blake's set, just in time to hear Marching Bands of Manhattan, Summer Breeze, some Daft Punk, etc. When Armin came on, i felt that he was on point for the first half of his set - nonstop madness. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that my keys wound up getting lost, but the second half of Armin's set started to go downhill. Just when I thought things were picking back up with Going Wrong - Morph/Eyden Mix, Smack My Radio, Hold On To Me Joc Mix, he stops! I was surprised that there was no Killers remix as an encore last night.
Chances are that now I probably won't make Euphonic night, but i heard out of the sky live in armin's second encore! Great seeing everyone last night and meeting new people/djs/producers.
Here's my tracklist, maybe Gerard can fill in the blanks.
