new years day 2008 tiesto played at mansion and the ticket was 100. so na, its not going to be "a lot" better.

the venue might be better, but lets be real... tiesto isnt going to kill it. he isnt going to drop some massive 5 hour untouchable set like he did on a regular basis in the old days. hes going to play the same old 3 hour set he does everywhere else of recent shit hes been dropping on club life. no thanks. i dont feel like getting ripped off. esp when the venue might not even honor my presales. lol. good luck to everyone whos considering going.

tiesto wouldnt be worth a drive up to orlando unless you're going up there for another reason too.

unless you see tiesto drop an extended set in europe or have amazing luck (in which case you should be playing the lottery), you should not even bother seeing him. it sucks cuz he used to be awesome. but now-a-days, forget about it.

Thanks for the heads up I'll keep this in mind cause damn I haven't had a chance to catch him at a club yet just Ultra. Well I will see the reviews on how he does @ Heat Lounge.

this is a brand new club. i doubt anyone here has any connections. this is going to be a huge pain in the ass to get in, I would honestly say to get there at 10 even.

as I said earlier in the thread, I went to the Fountainbleau for my birthday the same night David Guetta was spinning. We weren't trying to get into LIV, but going to the bars around the hotel instead. We got there at around 11:30 PM, and the line was already outside of the hotel and extremely packed with no one moving.

11:00 might be too late seeing it's tiesto.

edit: and in case anyone was curious, valet at the hotel is $18

Tiesto is already sold out at LIV. I cant believe it! And he is sold out in Orlando. I hear LIV is a joke! I havent been but I am very involved in the Miami scene. Friends of mine have been and say it really is one of the only upscale clubs in Miami and is super expensive.

contrary to popular belief i think tiesto is fucking talented. no, not in his mixing skills, but the way the man can put together a set is insane.

go download and listen to tiesto @ impulz outdoor 06/20/2002 (two parts, 3 hours)... listen to the whole thing, and then get ready for the last 30 mins. insanity. i was there. but unfortunately that was the first time i saw him, and every other time, hes sucked ass. seeing him in holland dropping a massive set like that, well, it kinda ruining tiesto for me. i got spoiled. i still regularly listen to that set, or his space sets, or his dutch dimension set, or so many of the sets that are out from that time.

but simply put, the man just doesnt care anymore. he cares maybe about 5 times a year when he plays. and those are usually special nights like isos or album release parties where he plays extended sets in his homeland and really has a reason to care. we dont and wont ever get a set like that here. so why i am going to pay 100 fucking dollars to go see him here? na, fuck that. im not wasting my money. i cant blame him for what hes doing, but i just wont waste my money.

regarding the tijs + ferry tag team. ehhh, probably not. well, now-a-days, def not. i think ferry today is just a wanna be armin, and armin is just a wannabe tiesto circa 5 years ago. simply put, they all suck and arent worth my money.

That was a great show. I'm really glad I didn't sell my tickets. The staff at Liv are way cooler than those pricks at Mansion.
