LMAO

you do realize that scotch does not age in bottles and that the age is only relevant to the time it spends in a barrel right?

then again, you thought douching was for bumbums.

relax man, all i did was tell you what anyone who collects spirits would tell you. If you feel like i am attacking you, maybe you should consider not posting about something pretending like you know what you are talking about.

Any recommendations for a novice, noob? Something not too expensive, but light, and comfortable with inexperienced taste buds?

Posted by bluE_Neon on Nov-06-2008 22:55:

I enjoy Grey Goose & Ballantines although Jonny Walker Blue/Black labels are exquisite.

You're spending $200 extra per bottle. Try something new.

Lagavulin
Dalwhinnie
Oban
and fucking Macallan

Mind you, the $100 bottles don't artificially enlarge your dick...

Rye isn't scotch.. Rye is Rye..

one of the types of Whisk(e)ys(ies)

Edit: "International laws require anything bearing the label "Scotch" to be distilled in Scotland and matured for a minimum of three years and one day in oak casks, among other, more specific criteria."

"By law, Irish whiskey must be produced in Ireland and aged in wooden casks for a period of not less than three years, although in practice it is usually three or four times that period"

"By Canadian law, [9] Canadian whiskies must be produced in Canada, be distilled from a fermented mash of cereal grain, be aged in small wooden barrels for no less than 3 years, and possess the aroma, taste and character generally attributed to Canadian whisky. The terms "Canadian Whisky", "Canadian Rye Whisky" and "Rye Whisky" are legally indistinguishable in Canada and do not denote any particular proportion of rye or other grain used in production."
