you guys made that an awesome experience for me...
ROB, DOUG, Monica , Aisha, Steve... and a bunch of other people i cant rememebr right now!
|and thanks BURRIDGE!!!!
wow!
wat A night!
I guess i have to start by mentioning how good a venue footwork is. I dont think there is any other place in North America where i would rather see Burridge spin. The sound system was near perfect, the atmosphere was brilliant and there was plenty of space for everyone. A lot of credit therefore goes to the management.
Burridge as a dj was simply phenomenal. His track selection was excellent. I think in terms of crowd interaction only Danny Tenaglia or Eddie Halliwell come close. Some of the bombs that he dropped
rocha and lewinger- shiitas
Dubfire- dios
Kohlbecker and Eilmes- tabasco
and as jad already mentioned mamba drums
My friends were bugging me to take a smoke break but i didnt want to miss a second of his set. thats how good he was. For me its going to be hard for anyone to top that set this year and that was the consensus with my friends too. With such an intimate setting Burridge just mutilated the place. There can be no complaint from me, but if only he could have played longer. I know every person in that room wished so.
I caught the last hour of Sasha's set at the guv. After footwork the guv sound system sounded like garbage. Although he played some nice tracks while finishing the vibe was nothing compared to footwork. I am sooo glad i went to see Burridge.
I think the highlight of the night was when Burridge came and started dancing with the crowd on the final track of the night. I think it was Dafunk-daft punk. The guys is just crazy, plain and simple ! Overall one of the best nights iv had in Toronto ever

that is my honest opinion and was a consensus with the group of friends that went with me. Maybe if i had stayed for Sasha's entire set i would have appreciated the last hour more. A really good friend of mine in London (England) whose seen both djs well over 10 times told me that it was Burridge over Sasha in a club any day. Since seeing Sasha twice I definitely agree with that now.
It doesn't help Sasha at all that the Guv sound system is a pile of garbage.
If it isn't the system itself then whoever runs the sound in that place needs to realize that you don't make music sound better by turning the Bass needle to +20.
Balance is key, motherfuckin Guv sound-crew.

still speechless.
by the powers of god, my recorder had enough juice to capture my 3+ hour opening.... by those same powers, it died as Lee took over....
