Some tracks I remember last night

Duderstadt vs Store n Forward - Broken (Nitrous Oxide Remix)

Jennifer Rene is simply eye candy that disolves quickly but I'll leave it at that.

Who played Broken?

kurfew and i were pretty much on the same page for the duration of the night.

none of the djs really impressed me in all honesty. nothing really interesting was done with the music that they were playing and all in all i kinda expected more. piet's set was probably the most enjoyable out of all 4 djs. the man keeps it cool behind the decks with no flashy jesus poses or holding his headphones in the air.

thankfully i went to the acid lounge after that horrible start by jennifer rene, and knew that i missed out on some real music. for the hour i was there, i danced more than i danced the whole night out in the main room. andrew, thanks so much for saving the night. you're tune selection actually got me dancing with every track flowing from one to the other. it's too bad i didn't venture over there earlier.

the thing i enjoyed in the main room was people watching. some wierd things went by like that couple falling from the small dancing podium and clearing out the area like they were bowling. it was also good to see a lot of people having fun and enjoying the night and chatting to a few people.

What a night! I'd been bigging it up so much this week, and I can safely say I was not disappointed in the least. I gathered up a group of friends who have had a passing interest in trance in the past little while, and got in while Gareth was spinning. I've been listening to his podcast religiously for the past year now, and I enjoy his style, but what he produced last night was something else. He completely blew away my expectations with bomb after bomb and great energy in pumping up the crowd, so my level of respect for the guy has been completely elevated to a different level.

Then came Menno. I couldn't agree more with Elyot that his set was A LOT harder than I was expecting, but it was still impressive. I was moving the entire time, and closer to the end he started playing the stuff I was a lot more familiar with, so I was very happy. I even got to meet him later on in the night (which was awesome), and he's so humble, he didn't even mind that I had to throw a water bottle at his feet to get his attention! The inside scoop: We can expect an Intuition Vodcast in the not too distant future.

'Wow' is the only thing that comes to mind when I think of Jennifer Rene (what a hottie!). As was said, she emptied the dancefloor pretty quickly, but she really started to pick it up later in her set, and had me going until close. Barring some questionable transitions, to put it lightly, she played a lot of tracks I was hoping to hear throughout the course of the night, so I was relieved about that.

With this being my first time in the Guv, I saw some whacked out stuff in the crowd I've definitely never experienced before, but the energy was so intense, I had an easy time ignoring it. Also met some friendly TAs, which was a great experience because people were so warm and welcoming, but I'm definitely looking forward to a lot more events like this. Cheers to everyone that came.

Oh, and memorable song of the night had to be Leon Bolier - YE (dropped by Gareth Emery).

Edit: I just remembered Jennifer Rene having her own cheering squad behind her. What was that all about?

HOLY SHIT MENNO!!!!!
He absolutely RIPPED the room apart, played a fantastic set! Some good HARD tunes!
Great thing was that there was so much space to dance around, Guv was not overly full whatsoever!
So nice to see everyone out and nice to meet the Ear, Elyot, Ravist and DeletefromUsers!
SUCH a great night, definitely ranks up there with one of the best parties...guess that means we'll just have to outdo this one for Sander
