Been going to black friday for the last 13 or so years. Haven't missed a sale. With the way the ads are, and especially the microsoft cashback ebay promotion right now... I don't even think I'll bother this year. (unless the ads change

| Originally posted by gehzumteufel It is. HTC phones will never compete with the bb if you are just trying to save money. If you are all about the bang for your buck go get a moto q or something. They are like $100 on 2yr contract. The BB only wins on price. Nothing more. And if price is a driving factor for everything, then go buy whatever is cheapest. You get what you pay for. |

You are comparing a Q vs a Blackberry Storm? come on seriously? The Storm only wins on price??? How do you know that the storm sucks? Have you used it? I would have to say not since very few places even have demos out yet. How much better is the Pro vs the Storm? Please tell me why its literally worth twice as much. Please don't list features that i can give a rat's ass about. |
Can you get push email on the HTC?

I have 7 email accounts between work (exchange), gmail, my own hosted domain, etc. I get everything pushed to my Blackberry. I get messages on all of the accounts within seconds. I've tested all of them. I don't know what RIM changed lately but its great. Gmail shows up on my Blackberry via IMAP before I even see it in the web browser on a desktop. I have my domain hosted by ICD and those emails show up immediately. RIM use to poll the pop accounts every 10 minutes but not any more at least with my accounts. Once you get use to that, its hard for me to go back to non-push email.
Same thing with facebook. Just installed the myspace for Blackberry yesterday so I will have to see about that.
I guess it depends on what you use a phone for but for me its messaging, calendar, and talking. For that, its hard to beat Blackberry IMO.

this year just like last year the offerings for BF suck, its either that or there is nothing i need/want. Other than a new washer.. but the deals are still not as good as 2 years ago..

| Originally posted by gehzumteufel The OS is shit, Native code runs faster, java sucks, the phone feature never was very good. Is that good enough? Oh and I have seen the damn things (BBs in general) break a good amount. Not that they constantly break like LGs or some Motorola models, but I have never seen a BB take the beatings that I have seen MANY HTC phones take. Oh and should I care to mention the slow moving of adding features? ugh I hate BBs so much. They have progressively gotten better, but they are still far behind. |

| Originally posted by gehzumteufel Windows Mobile is not done by HTC. Therefore they are at the mercy of M$. RIM on the other hand is the creator of their own OS. This gives them the flexibility of being able to do TONS more than they do, improve the OS, and give a valuable product that is not just good for email. |
