I used to really like the Ladytron remix because I really like Ladytron, the more I listened to it though the more "samey" it sounded. In fairness, I haven't heard Involver 2 yet...I understand the concept he was doing and I'm sure it fits in perfectly, but as a stand alone track it doesn't do anything for me.

All the remixes are basically stripped down versions of the original, so if the original is bland i don't see how the remixes can be any less bland.

just heard it. i don't like it.

None of the involver 2 remixes from Sasha will stand the test of time. Here today, gone in 2009

Snoozefest.

Agree, some of the original mixes were better.

tbh when i first heard involver 2 i thought, with all the hype, sasha actually delivered. i expected it to sound more like his emfire stuff than the original involver, but done well (and i hated all of his emfire releases, even being the sasha whore that i am)

listening more and more to it though i find myself skipping through a lot of tracks and only listening to the beginning and like, 30 or so minutes until the end.

as for the ladytron track, i still like the original better, the sasha remix IS kinda plain but i still like it. :shrugs:

and as for 3 little piggy's, i hate to say the typical "it would go down well if dropped correctly in a club) but... it would go down well if dropped correctly in a club. i dunno. just a nice, epic, old-school prog-house-sounding track.

They're all just a little too sterile and safe. Needs something more organic or risky IMO

define or give me an example of "risky" please. just curious.

Using more than two notes in the melody might be risky. If he did that, the gatekeepers of what is fashionable and forward-thinking in dance music might brand it as cheese.

too much philosophy, not enough music talk

lol though. honestly i think the ladytron remix is probably the worst production-wise (unless he/charlie may/etc intended it to sound "rough" or "glitchy") but i still can't help but like it. i dunno. as i said before it really bothered me before but.. yeah. i like the lyrics. lol

love this track, love the vibe of it. glad it was finally released, it was immediately one of my favorites when i heard invol2ver!

Posted by NoisyNeil on Nov-24-2008 10:32:

i don't know... this release is not as exciting as i hoped it would be; the tracklength on it's own is kinda overdone. there's isn't enough happening to stay interesting the whole 12 minutes.

+1 on that

anyone notice this is a total ripoff of zabiela's "perseverance"?? listen to the entirety of both and you'll hear it- they're both even in the same key. wtf charlie may

Posted by Dj Minaya on Dec-22-2008 08:08:

I'm interested to see if and who would remix this in time.

I enjoyed the track. Has a nice warm feeling to it and I like that it's "two note" melody show's how something simple can work when theirs so much going on around and behind it.

+1 . Best exapmle of this imo was, Rone-Flesh. Original was eargasmic but the Invol2ver mix was rather bland imo.

My thoughts, basically.

3 little piggys def need a remix. well, at least an edit. way too frigging long and gets boring after like first 5 mins

5 mins is plenty of time. the dj should have started doing some stuff by then, right?

agreed. I got this vinyl and was playing around with it and started mixing in about 4-5 minutes with a little bit more of a chug to pick up the pace a little....

Still love the melody of this track so much though!
