If this is the set your talking about he does play In my memory, lethal industry, and his remix of PO's southern sun. 3 of the ten are his, not bad for a tiesto set. I think Ferry and Armin are the best dutch Djs at the moment...by far!

Posted by Asperge on Jun-03-2002 19:18:

I think Ferry is good dj but not very special. I think Ferry is more a producer than a dj.

I've heard of Cors Fijneman, however i haven't heard anything of him for a very long time. But he plays more uplifting trance right?

Michel De Hey: would you say he plays harder trance/ soft techno?

Emjay: is he boring progressive (Digweed) or exciting progressive?

DJ's I would like to have on my birthdayparty

- Johan Cyber: The best progressive sound of Holland
- Roog: Uberl33t house, soul & garage
- Benny Rodriguez: Different, daring.. cool!
- Fred Numf: Melodic progressive
- Tiesto: For his tunes
- Armin: For his new tracks, but he mixes crappy sometimes
- Ferry: For his vocal trance
- Emjay: Warm grooves, sweet progressive and feel good house
- Lucien Foort: Wikked, just wikked man
- Michel de Hey: Not that crappy hardhouse (I REALLY HATE HARDHOUSE/HARDTRANCE/Q-CRAP) but owning techno
- Marco V: Cool when he doesnt spin rough shizzo...
- Dimitri: One of the real heros of house
- Erick E: The man with the vibe, the feeling, the music...
- Olav Basoski: The Work(ing) man, together with Erick E, cool club music
- Marcello: Legend... says it all
- Jean: The phattest club and groove tunes
- Astrid: Harder progressive (Kremlin style.. me likes that a LOT!)
- Cross: Boy oh boy, he spins kinda vocal progressive with some uberl33t grooves and wikked house.. luv him!
- Eric de Man: DETROIT & CHICAGO!!!!
- San: Refreshing, has great tunes.. and is Kremlin resident..
- Per: EARTH!!
- Miss Wendy: A girl who is underrated a lot, she bangs..
- Promiss: Together with Wendy the female Marco V

I do like other dutch DJ's like the people from BlackHole (Montana, Fijneman, Dazzle), ID&T (Piet Bervoets (Rank1), Johan Gielen) etc.. but their sets are always different, one time they rock the builing, but the next time they suck like f00k
I have this feeling with Dutch house music, it's totally different from all other countries/DJ's. It has a great vibe, I can dance all night long if one of the above DJ's spins, difficult to explain, but I just dig Dutch house.. nothing beats it!

Anyways, just my 2 cents.. almost everyone on my list above is on Impulz, so Impulz will rock for me

Is it just me or does Tiesto play basically the same tracks everywhere he goes which a good portion are produced by him? Every set of his sounds the same, he doesn't keep things fresh, just the same tracks over and over. Tiesto is a kick ass Dj but he is falling into the 'promote my own shit' category which can make you forget about the sets quality just to promote your own shit everywhere you go.

have you ever heard Marco V, he plays very much of his own songs, and he's still one of the better dj's. it's just what numbers you make. tiesto makes very good numbers, but he shouldn't be spinning the same tunes over and over again, but I think it's not irritating, he's the best Dutch DJ by far!!!!

Greetz Steeph aka DjSuez

where do you live??

Posted by MaGiK54 on Jun-03-2002 22:20:

Have somebody all ready mentioned that Tiesto is the best dutch dj

They didn't open Qontact, but came before Jules and Tiesto. That was a nice set indeed.

And I also think Tiesto is a very big upcoming talent!

/me rolt over de vloer en pist in ze broek van het lachen...

Ahum, de naam Tiesto associeert een uitgaande buitenlander eerder met Nederland dan een stomme windmolen of goudse kaas of tulpen van het graf van Pim Fortuyn

Posted by Little Theseus on Jun-04-2002 18:22:

idd sjikaan!

Hetzelfde geldt toch eigenlijk ook voor Armin van Buuren

Under-rated dj's in Holland:
Cor Fijneman,
Sander Kleinenberg,
Joost van Bellen,
and tranceaddict dj Bellie ofcourse!
