cant believe i forgot about this one. was on a business trip in europe, at a hotel in copenhagen, one of the 13 channels was mtv and they actually play music videos all the time. this video was one of the more often played ones and when i first saw it i shed a tiny tear. either from the beauty of the video or the beauty of the fact mtv denmark actually plays videos all the time:

This is actually the Ferry Corsten remix, which isn't specified either in the video itself or by the person who uploaded it to YouTube. Neat that an MTV station would play it, though.

The Adagio for Strings has unfortunately become one of those pieces whose name people toss off to prove they "like classical music," and has been overused in the extreme by movies and TV shows, played perfunctorily on any sad occasion. Yes, it has a very nice melody, but so do lots of other classical pieces that people apparently don't care to investigate.

Does we even need music videos? I've always found them to be incredibly pointless unless there was actual "meaning" to the song itself (and no, vocal Trance lacks any and all substance/meaning, so don't even go there).

I liked the old dance music vids that were just a series of computer generated patterns. Meaningless and pretty visuals to go with meaningless music. Shame that people don't make those any more, since with today's computing power they could do much more impressive stuff.
