Looks cool, but its a bit expensive. I like bazzism i think it works quite well and is rather inexpensive.

That's cool, but I'm in love with the sound of that specific unit. I'll probably also pick up an 888.

888 is added to my wishlist. I would have so much fun with that thing.

I'll need to listen to the sound examples of the m base.

At this point in time:

* Sound absorbing panels to reduce reflections in the room
* Focusrite liquidmix
* UAD2 card
* more samples
* omnisphere
* trilogy
* some good vsti's, still have to look into that though.

wishlists make me sad

Well, I won't receive the new C414 XLII until next week, but I've had my C414 B-ULS for quite some time now and it's a great sounding and very versatile mic. I use it primarily for female vox. The XLII has a little more presence and is supposed better suited for vocals, so we'll see...If you want to hear the B-ULS in action, click on my sig and listen to the first 10 songs or so - any songs featuring Aliciya, Lauren, or Sara were recorded with the AKG (songs featuring Avonlea were recorded with a Rode NTK - sounds better on her voice). FYI - all vox were also recorded into a JoeMeek OneQ channel strip.

Good tracks there mate. Let me know what you think of the new XLII when you get it, I like the sound of the B-ULS, but its hard to tell from online MP3s, especially with the amount of effects you've got on there I probably should head off to a real shop and have a look at them, since my vocals signal chain is just trash ATM - just the price is like

Close future:

An industrial (sounds) soundpack for lots of metallic clangs for technoey type sounds or just music in general.

A general soundpack for anything that sounds good/deep/trippey/interesting for edm... I'd kill for the soundpack Infected mushroom used on their first 3 albums.

[edit] oh yes also probably some sound treating.

Far future:
Moog voyager Just listening to x-dream best of... I'm highly guessing they used a moog on the first disc's songs on that and damn does it sound brilliant.
The screaming/overloading power sound probably sounds best when its actual analog, so maybe some analog filters.
Virus Ti, or latest version thats out then
I'd say a 303... but really, idk if I could be bothered spending 1k+ ever on something thats a little inflexible.
