1. There's other sites than just justin.tv ... I have heard stuff with good sound before, so something can be found.
2. I dunno if I'll be heading out. One time I drove w/o a license I ran into a checkpoint...don't want that to happen again, lol. I'll try waking my roomy up again in a few minutes...

damn you dave... see what you started. just installed flash media encoder and running a test stream in h.264.. seeing how far i can push the bandwidth on the standard comcast 16mbit down/1mbit up connection.

testing justin.tv now (2:45am) at 128kbps audio, and 200kbps video. and i can still probably bump it up. i'm watching the stream on a separate laptop, so i'm easily handling the bandwidth at home.

lol, i tested it earlier...but I don't have a camera and no built-in webcam to this laptop.
I am on the FMLE 3.0 pre-release program and it's much more feature-rich than FME2.5. It also does better handling the encoding vs. CPU usage...so less isntances of dropped frames. Doesn't work with all providers yet though...but will try with justin.tv

testing it with a sony pc9 camcorder on my end, connected via firewire to my pc, and the mp3 stream from etn.fm feeding back into the mic in
i'll test the same setup on my macbook, and this might be easy enough to do as early as next week if blurr/taj are up for it, and if 1015 has enough bandwidth.
on a side note, this is all TOO EASY. i've taken on other hobbies over the years, so haven't played with this stuff. but back in the way, this was all so much more complicated and so much more fun. running encoders, sound compressors, up to separate servers

Yep. I do sometimes. Everyone does!
But doing what I can and listening to the stream.
Stuff happens sometimes.
Did the special guest play? Stop avoiding the question! lol. Imagine it's safe to say who I am talking about, whether he played or not..not gonna affect anything at this point!
I'm uber bummed. I was ready to go tonight. Hell, we even went over and stopped by Craneway for a few minutes (had to go to the area as it was...#1 reason why we my roommate and I decided to split a rental car) just to see how it was...cars were slowing showing up at 9;30pm or so. Couldn't tell how busy it was gonna be ... from there, came home and to 7-eleven, went for my ATM card...and GONE.
Anyhow, I am contemplating just taking the car and risking it. Or just go out w/ no money and my passport...lol

not much of a risk, and your "excuses" and story would be very valid.
i'm go out myself right now, if i wouldn't have to be totally productive sunday.

Any afterparties going on? Don't want to hit up Ten15 at 4:30am just to be kicked out soon thereafter.
I'm up. I had like 5 short naps during the day yesterday so doing kinda OK tiredness wise (I'm a bit exausted, but not necessarily sleepy)....so if something seems worthwhile, I may consider!
And you're still avoiding the special guest. I just don't want to be a bitch about it all so letting someone with Ten15 take the lead on if it happened or not...

I have to consider it a risk these days.
Circa 2002. One of our often days where we'd wake up near 5am on a Sunday morning (if I didn't go out Sat night for some reason), got ready, and off to the EndUp for some fun. Do believe EndUp closed for a couple horus on Sunday mornings then and reopened at 6am. Our other roommate, who was the brother of the roommate I was driving with, was a bouncer at the EndUp and I had left my wallet at his friends place the day before.
Anyhow, on the way from my place (which was right down the street from where I am now), got on the 280 and there was something in the middle of the road. Did a quick swirve around it, 15 secs later...being pulled over. I think I shoulda maybe got a ticket or something, but was lucky and got a warning once everything was explained. Luckily my roommate was with me, because otherwrise I woulda had to try to call him to come there to get me and the car...or have it towed.
Anyhow, I don't remember so much from the rest of the day. I actually don't remember much of the EndUp from when I went then. Would get there at 6am and be wasted by 7am lol. The $9 Vodka redbulls there are worth it! Just knew to stay away from the dance floor because if I was there dancing and didn't know anyone, I would be completel blind to other dudes hitting on me when they were asking for my name and stuff. Bouncer roommate's girlfriend would protect me from them lol. Still don't like dancing a lot there...I can deal with staredowns, but everytime, without fail, once I'm on the floor it's only a minute before some dude is trying to get close to me to dance. Anyone else have that issue there? I never hear of anyone having it. Should I change how I dress or something? I don't wear makeup. Have no piercings...why does it happen without fail! Should I get a tattoo or something? lol.
Actually, someone told me a reason once...but I dunno if they were messing around. Embarrassing to say, and might be consider a little inappopriate (politically speaking).

Lemme know how it is at 5:15. That's the second defining timeline for crowd movement...Have seen that room full at 5:00 and then empty/closed at 5:30
Have seen the room filled before and outta nowhere are forced to shut down. Still remembers Taj's speech on the mic after that. Not a happy man!
