-- where can we download this?

How do you know the person posting for the download location hasnt spent hours looking for the set and has had no luck so he comes here asking where he can find it? if you are to be so unkind as to just simply post a url you are one lazy mofo

lol, weren't we all "leechers" at one point??? we all had to have started somewhere. i'll even be the first to admit that in the past i have asked people "where can i get...", although i'm sure i looked for it on my own before i asked. but it's like you're trying to say there is a code of ethics behind sharing music...you sound like the people who shut down napster. such greed. why wouldn't we all want to share the music that we all love so much, whether that person is new to trance or inexperienced??? the reason why i love this community is because of the fact that people are so genuinely willing to help you out with whatever.
don't get me wrong, i do agree with your beliefs...you should make an attempt to find the music on your own, you should give something back to the community, and certainly you should not just demand handouts. but not everyone thinks like us and we shouldn't judge on a whole about people who are looking for sets or songs. who knows...they could be someone like you but just getting started into the TA community...we can't truly know what the intentions are of that person. if i was new and someone flamed me for trying to find a song or a set...i don't think i would still come back...but people helped me out so keep that in mind. blah, blah, blah...ok, ok, i'll get off my podium now

No..i'm not abusing my mod powers. It is not my opinion.....us mods decided (as a group) that we were tired of this and it had to change.

well i don't know much about livesets but i know for a fact people are always begging for singles that are up on AG. even if they knew it was AG, they still ask you for a link. come to think of it, thats just sad when you can't even do a tiny little search for yourself. some people just beg you to put everything in a box, wrap it up all nicely and have them delivered to their front door or something.
livesets i guess are a different issue considering that it takes a longer time to spread around on AG, public ftp's and stuff. on top of that, not too many people will share the lesser known mixes unlike the TE, innercity stuff.
My feelings about this is that people shouldn't ask for stuff, unless they do some work looking for it first. Some stuff is clearly easy to find, and some stuff is really hard to find. Except for some cases where sometimes people buy CDs and DVDs and those people post about how good the CD or DVD is and other people start posting saying "can you rip the DVD or CD for us." Obviously that person bought the CD with his/her own money and expecting to share with other people? I feel something like that is wrong!
okay.. a answer to DigitalTrance: the reason i did this thread u prolly know after my 100000000000 posts in this thread... but the full story was, i saw in tracklist section.. a d00d had reply'ed on 5 threads.. and u know what he have replyed with? i guess u can imagine ya self!
and a 2nd question, i thought TA as a "information/chilling" forum, and not a shareing forum? getting kinda confused.. cause it looks like almost all TA members want it to be a leech forum, and all mods have the opposite opinion! im confused?

Just a little suggestion.
Search no more

flystyler Again im not trying to pull rank. But you are a junior tranceaddict and prob dont no the way of the forums. Rules r there to help us, and it is upto the mods to make the rules, because they inforce them.

flystyler I dont think we need to be consulted if it makes their life easier, and the forum better for us to use

Originally posted by verminator it's Swamper's forum and site, he decides the rules. the only thing you have to do, is to make sure you dont break them. is it so difficult? the rules says "no requests for files in this section".. it shouldn't be so hard to understand that.
lol...some people just love to power trip any time they get the chance. i can't believe some people's attitudes toward sharing music. listen, if i have the greatest cd ever known to man kind and i was the only one to have a copy...trust me, i wouldn't care who asked for it...i would let you have a copy, without a thank you or any other rules to follow before i gave you a copy. it's sharing music...that we all love. some of you act like just because you don't get anything back from sharing your music, you start to whine about it...like you actually made the music so now you have the power in how it should be shared. like flystyler thanked EVERY SINGLE PERSON that he EVER shared music with...but now that some of you are mods of TA, so i guess it's convient now that you can say that "leechers" aren't allowed to request songs. there will always be leechers...and they will always eventually get the songs anyways, so stop with this i'm mighter than thou and you are in debt to me if i share this with you.
a good example of this is in the isos3 thread...not a lot of people have this, obviously because i don't even think its out yet, but PeTrUs was kind enough to share his knowledge in where you could get it. some people thanked him(which was good and the ethical thing to do) and i'm sure some did not. should PeTrUs not have shared his music just because their were leechers out there and that he/she would get nothing in return??? come on people, it's sharing music.
i got an idea...why don't start restricting leechers from TA all together. all of you mods can get together and boot out all leechers.
or how about putting a leecher tag next to their log name so that we all know who is and isn't a leecher, and that way we won't even read their posts so that they'll never get their music.
better yet, why don't we restrict people into coming into TA community by letting them know that they can't ask for any music before they rack at leat 100 posts/replies.
i dunno why u keep blabling about leeching & sharing!! th0se rules are set! by the 0wners of TA board.. and thats the way it is!! go fucking accept it damnit! i dont know why u ppl keep posting the same words.. about leeching and sharing! when this forum actually dont know these words! power trip? erhm.. mods are made to take care of ppl who dont follow the rules.. so are the police!! If ppl want to share & leech join a fxp forum or www.downloadaddict.com thats pretty easy! would really like a mod to make this clear, once and for all! cause it looks like none read "Wicked Neo"'s reply!

So true, seems KenXo can read and it seems like bluejay and digitaltrance cannot read. You don't like it, talk to swamper and stop your whinning.

Tracklist Requests / Postings
All track listing queries should be directed here.
^^^ I don't see what is so difficult to understand regarding the above in that the forum was created to help in tracklist completion - not for requesting the livesets themselves.
Another reason for the section (in theory) is that once Tracklist requests are completed they are moved to the Tracklist Archive whereby they'll be linked once the new TA database integration comes into play later in the summer, having a thread full of requests just makes things look uglier.
Although since it appears there are some people who feel there is demand for the 'allowance' of such requests then perhaps it'd make more sense for one empowering individual to post a new thread in the 'Site Suggestions' section regarding this.
Don't go telling the moderators off when they're simply following the rules (which are in English by the way - so there's no excuse for you to ignore them).
(Excuse the run on sentences, I seem to be stingy with my commas today)
