I always thought my music was amatuer chincy, overly repetitive and underdeveloped - oddly I still do.

However I do feel like I am able to put it together faster, and from time to time being able to listen to it for a longer period of time.

The reason why you probably thought my stuff was a bit flooded with only partly developed idea is partial inaccurate, my stuff is mostly filled with a few different ideas, but they arn't all that developed, that is my writting is stream of conciousness or a form of expressionism. I am an expressionist and my experiences are minimal.

However I have noticed my stuff slowly becoming more concrete - I always say this - I can't wait to hear my music in a year. Simply because I really am someone who is honing in on their sound. I very much have my own sound, and I don't attempt to fully emulate anything else I hear.. quite the opposite, I will often try NOT TO sound like other material, although I do like ideas within other tracks. I do play an instrument every now and then.

However my main thing is that I don't try to make "songs" I enjoy writting music, my tracks are jams, and usually not developed. Although like I said it is time, but it will always be subjective. I can't see myself being anything but an experimental expressionist, it is what I've been doing for the last 10 years.

Man that is awesome! I've been producing for about 3 years now.

I'm so sorry, I misunderstood you completely. If you don't want to write songs then there is no point to what I said. I think the stuff I'm busy with now, like I did a remake of Pokerface, I think it will be huge.

Except my pc has moods. Sometimes it will work fine for a few days no problem. then without fail, on every week there will be a day when it won't boot, or it will reboot. then I can only wait and hope it he will feel like working again. ah its so frustrating

That's plenty of time!

Posted by goodtime on Dec-05-2008 12:06:

I'm going to put out a mix cd soon in a few countries. Something will 4 original tracks, 2 remixes, and the rest unreleased tracks from any of you here who can find it within yourselves to allow me to use. Ok thank you.

Posted by Storyteller on Dec-05-2008 12:10:

How recent is the music on your myspace?

Posted by goodtime on Dec-05-2008 12:37:

its there since 15 nov and 12 sep 2008. not any of my 'improved' stuff.

Posted by Storyteller on Dec-05-2008 12:52:

Excuse me for being somewhat critical. But I don't think 3 weeks is quite enough from where you're coming from. I haven't heard anything of the `improved` stuff, but I think it's a fairly safe bet to say you're far from where you want to be.

I think some serious self-reflection would be in your best interest right now. Compare your music to that which you want it to be like (Tiesto?), it's not even close yet. I think you should keep the money you have in your pockets for now instead of putting out any kind of cd, it's fun, but most likely a pure waste of cash as well. Just have fun making music for now and aim for improvement.

Posted by goodtime on Dec-05-2008 13:16:

You sound like someone who reads a lot of sound on sound and mixmag. lol. Why are you bothered what I do with my money.

Posted by goodtime on Dec-05-2008 13:17:

Maybe three weeks is not enough for a normal person Ill give you that, but what if you are...

A Super Saiyan?

Posted by Storyteller on Dec-05-2008 13:25:

what 9000

You're right. I don't have to care. Thank god. Have a nice life thinking you're actually gonna be the next Tiesto . I'll be here when reality kicks in!

Posted by goodtime on Dec-05-2008 15:25:

'when reality kicks in'. mm I like it. That's what I'm gonna name my first single, thanks!

ARE YOU READY TO LIVE IN DARKNESS

Posted by Sonic_c on Dec-06-2008 17:08:

Goodtime i have just read this thread and I am actually angry. Floating statues, the next tiesto, welling up inside, people are jealous of you? One thing I like about Trance addicts is people are always quite modest when talking about their own music or talent. i am always careful whe posting a tune even if I think it is the best song ever just to say i worked hard or i feel I have imroved. might I remind you that a statue of armin van burren has yet to travel down the thames river so I dont that yours will be coming anytime soon. I think you miss the point of trance music entirely I thought it was about writing things you "hope" people will enjoy not trying to suck your own cock! Seriously people like you annoy me

Edit: Quotes from his myspace

"My world tour is in 2011. Be patient."

"I am Mozart's late descendant. Hello Great Papa, I know you can hear me and my music in heaven because I can hear your new music here in my head."

"Hey, this is Wesley XD I made this myspace because I want to talk to as many fans as possible." SEE PICTURES BELOW

"Influences: I feel I must adopt a serious tone now. Yes, music is something we sometimes rely on to remove us from the boredom or the pain, but I think we are taking things too far sometimes (in the way we live our lives in such a hedonistic manner), and forgetting where music comes from (Heaven). :] "

ROFL the things he says remind me of me when I was 11. Sadly his music does also.
