When will people understand that Deadmau5 sells? He's closing in on being (if not already is) a trademark. That suit of his and the entire mouse-imagine along with his name conjured a phenomenon, it's not about how talented of a musician or a DJ he is.

The Grammys and rest of these awards are for the popular mass which can reach to a wide audience and since mr.mau5 has climbed the ladders of the "prestigious" DJ ranks so fast...go figure.

sorta helps when Beatport bankrolls your publicity.

grammies used to really mean something...

i do agree with others that the original track wasn't really modified much i mean he basically added his signature sound but let's not deny it's a good remix. its a matter of preference, i for one enjoy some of his tracks and having not met him i can't say if he's a douche or not but i can say he has talent. enough so that he's doing things many of those who hate on him could only dream about doing. if he wasn't such an idiot and made dumb comments he might get more respect among the edm community.

(ok ready to be labeled a deadmau5 supporter...i'm not though)

Deadmau5 will be the new Britney Spears. In fact their style is set on course to smash into each other within a year. Britney's new album has so much trance elements, a couple of her tracks are actually slow progressive vocal trance, something I'm ashamed to admit I'd buy on iTunes if I had no idea it was her. Meanwhile, Deadmau5. Well, slow progressive vocal house or trance or whatever. Sounds much better than Britney, and might be what keeps her caREAR afloat for the future.

It will happen. I already hear Britney and Deadmau5 being played in the club...ahem GAY club, on the same night back to back. It's so strange. It's like wtf. Total wtf.

Schossow should be nominated too.

deadmau5 is to the EDM scene what Kanye is to the hip hop scene - good production, complete douche, crappy stuff that sells (SOME was good, but ENOUGH).

hey, i just compared d5 to kanye.
