Yeah it was about 99c/litre (AUD$4 a gallon, about US$7/gallon) here last week, happy days!

Sure beats the 165c/litre it hit about 2 months ago.

Gas in the US isn't cheaper than elsewhere, it's just less taxed than elsewhere.

Hey man, don't knock it. especially if you take long trips like we do. It reaaaaally helps when we're driving down to the keys, or to GA and we only have to fill up once, and then when we get there we still have a half of a tank.

It really has gone down a lot

Show's how relativity works even in human psychology.

that is so true. At $4 a gallon, $3 a gallon is a bargain.

Honestly, I wish gas prices would stay high so that we accelerate our shift away from petroleum. Although, given the circumstances with the economy, its a very good thing.

The cost components of a product are irrelevant for a consumer. as long as we can buy it for less than you it is cheaper for us.

$0.72 here

Cheap gas prices are an illusion that isn't going to last. Enjoy them while you can, I guess.

I'd rather pay $10/gallon and watch my investment values soar if that is the tradeoff...less moron drivers on the road too. Yay.

Cheap petrol is just the sweetener for me, saw $1.34/gallon in my city yesterday. Makes a change from the $5.31 I paid in Alaska earlier in the year.

Hell yes! As long as your employed, this is a good time to buy buy buy. Bring on the recession!
