lolo often posts on here and usually has some really good detailed info to share. He's probably one of the most talented trance producers out there ATM in my opinion. His new album's been on my stereo constantly anyway. But its true that a lot of people post less once they're signed.

I'd be oppose to a TA label just because the world doesn't need another net label. Theres too many flash in the pan rubbishy labels already, and I think people would just release their friends music, there wouldn't be enough profuessionalism IMO.

Posted by Sonic_c on Dec-07-2008 12:00:

I started a digital electro label a few years back didnt go anywhere but we had a few releases. The only problem is you get hundreds of demos a month and some really poor ones. Like the stuff you make when you have just bought reason for the first time and made your first oompa bass. Not puttin it down we all have to do it and i did the same but you have to listen to them all and i always hated saying no. Some of them still hound me now 2 years on not even into that music much anymore.

subtle, pjotr g, richard gale, cybernetica, mr. mystery, theran are the ones ive listened to most and its all good. alot of others too but these are the ones ive heard stuff from as of lately. thanks for the kind words airwalker, i should take some time listening to your stuff too in return.

Posted by airwalker1 on Dec-07-2008 14:06:

cool because in currently remixing one off quantam plays tracks at the mo and all being well and he likes the track i will post up on ta

Posted by BshidoHEAT on Dec-07-2008 16:59:

Pretty much anyone who's attributed to the TA's Unite series, I haven't really listened to many people since then, but I'm sure there is great music still.

I think we all know that if we start naming names we'll forget some people, so please don't be offended if I forget you, theres just so much talent on here its hard to list it all.

That said, I think that Manvel Ter-pogosyan, Dimlicht zodiac9, David Michael (the snark) and Nefardec (avana) are all the goods. Theres a lot more, but off the top of my head, I think they've produced some good stuff recently. Like I said, I'm sure I'll add more as they come to me.

Thanks for the shout kitphillips!

There are in fact many unique producers on these forums...all of whom have either reached some level of success with their music or have yet to do so.

Best wishes to all of you,

Manvel Ter-Pogosyan (aka Amurai)

I actually haven't heard any of Richard's stuff in a while, but he's definately worth a shout, one of the one's I'd missed.

Diginut had some awesome tunes going too at one point. Mr Mystery has a couple I like, he's an extremely good engineer. Cybernetica, theran, Xetro, Pjotr g all have awesome stuff. I haven't heard from a few of them in a while though, need to spend more time in promotion maybe

Posted by adi_hanson on Dec-10-2008 21:45:

Im staying well clear of the clique here , but the best music ive heard on here through the MUSIC PRODUCERS PROMOTION FORUM ah hem... , is as follows.....

1/ Was Freesoups remix of Dutch Force - Deadline

2/ Anything that Pulze posted , but annoyed me that there was never a main grab me hookline , excellent producer though.

3/G-con , some smooth tunes he has.

4/Dj alfi - Some good stuff there

The worst is something else

1/ sorry but its ******** , his music is the same as randomly strumming a guitar and passing it off as rock.

2/ The guy who claimed his song Hard Teckno was gonna be a hit!

Posted by airwalker1 on Dec-11-2008 03:25:

i think adi was missing the point by saying who he thought was poor here on ta. antway the track you made ashley was nice had a nice grove to it why not enter the comp?

thanks for mentioning me

As for my business, I have a new album coming this weekend. Its not entirely made of new tracks but a few are unreleased so far

my faves here are jex, palm, RickyM, Subtle and Mr. Mystery for their good track quality.. not to forget S-Tune, who got really pro. PDM's old tunes are also some of my favorites. Frost-Raven appears every once in a while, but he has a great skill with Psy production.

I got to say I miss the crazy Australians Axolotyl and Xenocreator. And where did Aquarian aka Xelphore disappear to? Didnt see RickyM for a long time either. Oceanseeker was another one of my favorites that I dont see often anymore.

then do it fresh.remember you have a month to compleat it.your only weakness as a producer is that you rush your tracks.

Cheers mate, didn't even know you had heard any of my tracks

I've heard a lot of good tunes over the time (and even more generic bullshit) but I struggle to remember the names of each artist.

Few that do stick out for me are

Gabriel Calzali (probably my favourite, very talented producer)
David Michael (has an excellent sound)
Mr Rogers (very consistent and his tracks always have great kick and bass)
Az (makes good techno which I like and makes a change from the usual tracks in the forum)

Sure I can see that, however all music is random you are just use to a very generic and refined sound, I don't offer a refined sound very often. Even a well structured track can be totally unappealing.

I tend to show something, rather than make something, don't look for a refined track with my music listen for the idea, and interest in it, not for the structure and completeness, I rarely finish my tracks, unless I receive input and interest in them to do so.

I understand it is cause your depressive pop song you recently posted received a

"I hate it" so you are just being pathetically jewish in doing eye for eye and saying I'm the worse right?

Don't take it personally I do hate the track, BUT, I didn't say it was bad.

What type of last name is hanson anyway? Adi? Where does that come from?
Your structures are generally pretty great. I have heard several of your tracks with an under developed melody playing in the beginning then later at the end of the track i'll hear it again with the same sound but it is more developed. I could see how you would call it random though, you do move on from certain sounds a little too fast, and you have a bit too many in a track. None of this bothers me tho because when i hear your track i just imagine some guy jamming out in his studio. It's pretty cool, i am not expecting to hear a fully developed track, and i usually always want to remix your songs because they have so many good elements. I have heard some really good sound design from you.

Anyways, much respect, i hope you keep doing what your doing, and if you decided to do all the smal details, such as mixing on track ( ) and kept the number of ideas down. i am confident you could get some really exceptional music. Because to me, your stuff is more of a jam session; which isn't bad, plenty of people pay to see jam bands; phish, greatful dead, dave matthews band.

Actually The sad thing is very little music appeals to me. I know when I absolutely don't like music, and I can see the odd thing, but I have rarely if ever listened to a track on TA that honestly moved me, most has been mediocre, with a lot of bad stuff. Part of the reason I find it so easy to post stuff here (And I don't post all my stuff here) is because I think so much of the stuff other people are putting up really does suck, and I figure if I can enjoy my sound that day but find that 5 other tracks i listen to suck, then Im posting something someone else may like more than those five tracks that sucked.

I find great fault in my own music - I really am just jamming. Although I've decided not to post any more music on TA of my own, until situations change. I still may post the odd track on my facebook page. For those that have asked for my tracks in the past feel open to email me if you would like to be added to a newsletter or something that will offer exclusive samples of what I've been working on over the week, month etc.. and a pointer on where to get my finished stuff.

I still may do colabs etc.. however realizing I'm posting material that isn't on par with

Cold Blue - Paradise (anhken_remix)
C systems - close my eyes (lemon and einar k remix)
Above Beyond Pres. Oceanlab - Breaking Ties (Jaytech James Grant Remix)
David Newsum - Spank Bank (Activa's Deep Mix)
Mr Sam Ft Claud9 - Cygnes (Original Mix)
The Killers - Human (Armin Van Buuren Remix)
etc... I'll just hold off until I have something that I only sense perfection from.

and apologies to anyone that may have taken offence to my jewish statement.
Yeah, i know what your saying in the production forum there are alot mediocre tracks. But since everyone is an amateur in there i don't really expect to be moved. However, i have found quiet a bit of stuff i really, really enjoyed. Even more than a lot of professional releases.

And those tracks you listed. I am rather surprised you listed them. I find that they have a rather typical structure, and focus on that one hook. Though there are some nice sounds to be heard in them (i actually like most of them).

Personally i think the problem with my music is that their aren't really enough ideas. Once i get my midi keyboard i am going to start doing some jam sessions. I think if i could do what you do with your writing process, and get a lot of ideas down i could refine it and actually make a track, instead of my usual 40 second loops, which i probably would have over 300 of in my year of producing (i took a three month break as i was away from home).

Surprising actually, I don't think that track has aged well at all...

Not produced anything since the end of last year though, due to spending the first 6 months of the year travelling and resulting finance troubles afterwards (Coming back to attempt a job-hunt during the start of a fucking recession... ) has left me without my own PC... (using families atm)

I should sort my broke ass out and get a new one.

In the meantime I'll entertain myself with some of the fine artists tracks still poosted on here.

Just a shame the Producers Promotion forum ain't as active as it used to be... far too many tracks with no reviews....

*goes to review some tracks to avoid looking like a hypocritical tit*
