last year I went skydiving, and unless u are a pro u have to go with the guide who is strapped to you and pulls the paraschute (sp? dunno im foreign) anyway we were flying down and it comes time to pull the chute and the guy is like "OK IM GOING TO PULL THE CHUTE HANG ON!!" and like 1 second.. two second.. tick tock on the nothing is happning clock as we are plunging a million miles to the earth, and I hear the guy yell "THE CHUTE ISNT WORKING! WE ARE FUCKED!! totally freaking out, which is making me freak out cause he is the pro here.. (all of this is happening within milli seconds) then I hear him start yelling "OH MY GOD I DONT WANT TO DIE LIKE THIS" and then out of nowhere the schute opens and I feel the yank and the guy is like "just kidding, we always do that to first timers" needless to say I cussed the guy out when we landed and threatened to kill him, cause that was NOT cool
holding a butcher knife to my throat..cant really remember what happened to stop me from finishing it of
wow, ^ u stole my sig

wtf is this moon talk. yeah almost died in a car crash but didn't really learn much from the experience
No, but I've had an "OMG, I'm going to kill someone" moment.
It was almost 2 years ago. It had snowed about two days before, then it all melted. But the night that the snow melted, the temp became so cold that all the melted snow froze. Then it snowed again, covering up the "black ice."
I was driving to the store one night, probably around 11. I was going really slow, like 15-20 MPH. All of a sudden, my truck hit some ice that I could not see at all, and I lost absolute control. The truck, with all of its momentum, took off into the other lane, still coasting on the ice. The truck did a 180 and headed straight for this kid walking on the sidewalk. He literally had to jump out of the way to avoid being killed, that's how close it was.
He got out of the way, and my truck jumped the curve and hit a mound. I got out of the car and saw the kid running down the street away from me and I was like "are you ok, man!" The kid was so freaked out, he took off running, thinking that I was trying to kill him. My truck was absolutly fine.
It really had me thinking about fate though. Had I left 5 seconds earlier, the kid might not have had the chance to get out of the way. Or had I left 1 minute earlier, or the kid, I wouldn't even had come close to hitting him. But the fact that I came so close to hitting him on a pretty big sidewalk at the moment really freaked me out. It's like everything we did was timed perfectly to have our fates collide.

we need a psychiatrist over here
I have died in my dreams. The feelings I experienced can't be explained, it was scary yet peaceful at the same time. Extremely powerful dreams.
In real life, maybe once or twice. Once I was on my bicycle and I'm about to turn left when a car comes around the corner. I remember thinking "shit, I'm gonna hit that and die". But I managed to barely avoid the car and instead crash into a bush.
The other time was when my friend was driving, and recklessly at that. He can be pretty irresponsible behind the wheel when it comes to keeping the speed limit. He did a stupid move when overtaking another car and we almost had a frontal collision with the meeting traffic.

i was riding my bike through an intersection and some old lady didn't stop in time. i saw her a split second before she creamed me and i rolled over the hood and onto her windshield. when she slammed on the brakes i flew off the car and landed in the middle of the road into oncoming traffic. pretty intense. i thought i was a goner. my $900 bike was completely mangled under the car. fun story since i didn't get too injured. definitely saw my life flash before my eyes.

i was drowning in black sea when i was 10, i was under water for about 2 minutes. eventually some fisherman saw my brother, who was near by, yelling for help (my brother didnt know how to swim) and jumped in . he got me out and held me upside down while water was gashing out of my mouth. after they were done i rested for 10 minutes and went back in to the water
other one was when i was 14 i was in car crash. it was pretty fucked up, the car that i was in flipped 5-7 times. for about a minute and half after crash i thought i was dead for sure. i could still see things around me but i couldn't make sense of them and also i couldn't hear anything but a slight beeping sound. when i came to senses i crawled out of the windshield and i saw my grandma who was in the car with me squashed by a car that i was in which fell on top of her. i found out later that she fell out of the car when it was still flipping and somehow she ended up under it. i couldn't sleep like a normal person for 4 months after that experience
That was a crazy orgy...

once I almost died in Counterstrike
nah.... your stories are so freaking scary guys
I hope I won't have to post a true story here
Not that it counts, but I do in my dreams all the time. I really hate that feeling...
Oh, and I did have a cancer scare a couple years ago. Waiting for the results from the autopsy of the tumor or whatever was absolutely painful, I truly respect anyone who's actually been through it only to get bad news.
