I can't even imagine paying that much for a fucking phone. I can't think of anyone who truly needs a phone that can do all this shit.

I paid $800.00 for sony ericsson K850i before it even came to Canada.....plus I paid $50 custom fee on it since it was shipped from China to me.

Played with it today, it's not that great... fun, cool, flashy.. but i couldn't see myself using it as a primary phone without throwing it against a wall very soon (it will survive the throw tho, very durable)... would never be able to txt while not looking, definently not able to do it while driving! It's a neat concept, but like you said, waiting for thier next venture into the touch screen market once they've learned from this one.

When I text someone...I usually look at my phone.

Then who's looking at the road and traffic lights?!

Never walked and txt'ed? Down the street, in the mall? In the hallways of school or work? I don't know with QWERTY keyboards, ain't had much experience with them, but once I got the T9 and the predictive of my w810 down, I could compose essays txting on that thing without looking, which was quite a handy thing...

I have the Storm...its definetly a fun phone. The reason why its getting mixed reviews is mainly because of the OS. It uses the same OS as the BB BOLD does which is not designed to be a touch screen OS. Anyways for all STORM owners there is already an OS update available that takes care a lot of the bugs...the next update is due around mid january which will further enhance the performance of the phone.

Posted by Mach X on Dec-16-2008 04:54:

Yeah, the ones we were playing with had the old vodophone version...apparently the ones they plan to ship with the bell and telus vers will be more responsive and is. But I only played with that OS version for a few minutes.

Posted by Jer on Dec-16-2008 05:08:

We made a boo-boo and sold three of them earlier last week. Had the chance to fuck around with one beforehand and I'd have to say I'm impressed. Whatever build of OS 4.7 was loaded felt great and wasn't suffering from the issues that so many had been reporting. The weight was a little jarring but that being said it felt solidly built - It won't be replacing my modified 8310 anytime soon but it's certainly cool as shit to play around with.

I know I was only kidding

Anyhow...I saw a commercial the other night and it said that the Storm is now available. Not sure which locations though.
