This was really really great. I loved the dub / reggae / funky style you had going and I think the programming and flow was spot on. Lots of really lush sounding stuff throughout, which I'm a big fan of, and the mixing was tight all the way through. I agree with what Domesticated said, this set had a very unique feel to it, something I haven't heard before personally.

Awesome job man.

I downloaded it again and it has the exact same error

Posted by Max Thomson on Jan-18-2009 00:16:

woscar - if you listen closely you'll actually hear that its a cut to the outgoing track and not a gap. most of the cuts in this mix are really precise and brief, but this one is longer which is why I can see why it annoys you. It actually annoyed me at first, along with a bunch of other little things, but after repeated listens and lots of amazing feedback I've come to like it as is. whats funny to me is that I was playing that same section in the car, and when it cut out my friend noticed it and thought it worked well. different strokes for different folks I guess.

I'll post another version without the cut later this week if you want though

thank you all so much!!!!!!!!

Oh, by no means does it sound bad...don't get me wrong. It's just that being familiar with the track I thought there was some sort of error, didn't know that it was some sort of edit on your behalf

Posted by Max Thomson on Jan-18-2009 05:19:

yeah this mix is a studio mix and was arranged and mixed in live7 so every track was edited in some form or another.

Shityeah. This sounds about right. Shame I missed it when it was first going around.

heh I never venture into dj promo. I clicked on his sig and figured I would give it a listen by seeing others that listened and liked it.

You really should. I don't listen to as much dance music as I used to, but the djs in here are worth my time most of the time.

Posted by enydo on Jan-29-2009 04:02:

I've been rocking out to this set while walking around campus for over a week now.

Well, I just don't know artists and tracks really, so it would be hit or miss. I don't know who spins well and who doesn't. I can only gauge by who has commented and liked/loved the mix. I only know some of the people that have similar tastes as I.

I really don't listen to EDM outside of my computer anymore. I really burned myself out. All I have been listening to is Rock as of late.

That's part of the fun of it I think

And yeah, dance music got a bit monotonous to me too, but I jam out to it often enough.

haha yeah it is fun, but as I am sure you know, it can be quite painful too.

That is exactly what happened to me. I have somewhat started to get back into it. I listened to a set a few days ago for the first time in 6 months. I am listening to more variety now, so I think that helps.

For what it's worth...most of the music that still surprises me has come out of the DJ Promotion forum

Finally got around to listening to this last night and now you have to make a remastered version?

Anyways, was good. The intro tune was excellent pretty much had me from there. Don't dj so i don't have technical advice, i just enjoyed this a lot.

thanks man, 6 weeks after posting this mix I still can't get the first beat pharmacy track out of my head!

Posted by Tangil on Feb-26-2009 02:48:

Purely based on the download speed I'm getting this mix will be off the charts

Posted by Tangil on Mar-05-2009 12:07:

Thumbs up

Great stuff this, the set progressed well starting with some dark but groovy basslines and then ending with a long melodic number. Damn smoothly mixed too. The first 20mins or so was my favourite section with Flam being the tune of the set, perfectly placed.

Posted by Max Thomson on Mar-05-2009 21:58:

thanks man, glad to see this is still getting some love =)

Posted by lcid on Mar-06-2009 04:03:

Posted by Lomeli on Mar-06-2009 16:09:
