I had fun, it was good hearing some of the records from the 'golden era' ... but I felt like the set had no flow whatsoever, it was just random track after random track, one second uplifting classic the next ... not

Definitely haven't been in the scene long enough to recognize the amount of classics that most vets can but I still had a great time. Tunes in Gallery and Acid Lounge were fucking kicking arse as well. LOVED the Christmas decor in Acid Lounge.. awesome job!!
p.s. - Shaya: I hope that crazy dancer wasn't telling you delete that footage you took of her!

^^^ Ya, somebody is gotta have the name to this track. I thought it was Dave202, but apparently I'm wrong........Mark played the Ecstacy countdown during the buildup.......As for the deep blue track, it wasn't Out of the blue....
Some more tracks that I remember;
Cafe del mar
Whats the track with "jack declared let there be house" ??
Binary finary 1998
Need to feel loved
Oscar G - dark beat
Madagascar

They were a duo who were there years ago and they did a great job of hyping up the crowd with the horns and the banner... AJ or Shaya do you have any banner pics???? It worked amazingly back then, not so much now... Did anyone noticed when I asked him to stop with the whistle??? He happily obliged and would've if any of you had asked him to stop... |

it is not act like a pirate day.
There was at least 3 occasions where I was on my way to gallery while Mark dropped a huge bomb which forced me to do a direct u-turn back to the dance floor to take a video.
I was shocked when Mark played the same two songs back to back as he did at Vola on Friday Night:
Freeform Five - No More Conversations [Mylo Mix]
Ida Corr - Let Me Think About It [Fedde Le Grand Mix]

late in the evening, i was hesitant to go out to this by myself, but fortuently conviced orko to come along. bought some canned beans at the dominion on front but when we got there, after standing in line for god knows how long, the guestlist girl said that they were only letting in people for free up to 12. but she was nice enough to give us reduced passes which was good.
the night didn't start off as i wanted to and almost made it go down the crap shoot. after taming the beast within me, i started to enjoy the night.
all in all, the set wasn't as good i thought it would. he played in sections, according to genre, which is understandable but i'm pretty sure better transitions between them could've been done better instead of suddenly dropping or raising the bpm. thankfully though, i came there for the tunes that were being played. great great classics were played. some remixes were meh (reflekt - i need to be loved
) but overall i was happy with the trance and house that he played, especially that old school house. mmm mmm that was good.
final thoughts...the guv was very nicely decorated last night which was great to see. the free heinikens were a plus as well. the sound was crisp meaning you could actually hear the melodies instead of the constant bass. but the main thing was seeing people that i haven't seen in ages (jenn
). it was also great meeting some new TAs which stuck around to the bitter end.
Just adding to what's been posted:
Da Hool - Meet Her At The Love Parade (Nalin & Kane Remix)
Juliet - Avalon (Fuck Me I'm Famous Remix)
Energy 52 - Cafe Del Mar (Three N One Remix)
No Faces meet Dave 202 - U Know What (My song of the night
)
Cosmic Gate - Should Have Known (Wippenberg Remix)
A-Studio - SOS (Skylark Vocal Mix)
Erick Morillo, Harry 'choo choo' Romero, Jose Nunez - Dancin (The Enter Sandman remix song)
Reflekt - Needs To Feel Loved (Fuzzy Hair Vocal Remix)
That's all I remember that wasn't listed. Over great night, great tunes, great friends!
Hey Boy Hey Girl Remix was pretty wicked...

Alex, what camera did you use to take those shots?
