To be honest (as I've mentioned in another thread) most EDM videos aren't great so you don't have to go to amazing standards to get something that gets a thumbsup from me. I'm used to seeing this kind of nonsense: Low cost doesn't necessarily mean a bad video. I liked the idea and if I saw it on the TV I'd be quite happy! |
You can't even read the puffycloud words on the paper. This video makes me hate everything I know of even more.
I also want 9/11 to happen to everybody's face who's in this video.
nice, but can't read the text, and if i can it looks hella messy. it was interesting at first but the scenes last too long.
get some sea/beach/club/rave footage

I somehow find this an enjoyable pop tune
I mean i prefer this pop in comparison to the massive shitty r'n'b and other trendy trash that you listen in the daytime (or nighttime) radio my god...
As for the video, well its ok, but i think it would be a better idea to have some beautiful young girls and young people in general holding the scripts whilst they move and the camera is zooming in slow motion towards them (holding the script smiling etc.) instead of taking still shots of the average joe/gamma/fat aunt that happens to pass by. That cheesy concept would better fit the cheesy music IMO.
And i just learned recently that Tony McGuinness-or whatever his name is-from Above and Beyond had cowritten several tunes of an amazing 80s post-punk/new-wave/dark-wave band called "Sad Lovers & Giants". He was the quitarist. I have to say i always loved this band, i didn't know that this guy is so old and used to (co)write dark 80s underground rock music lol.
Sad Lovers & Giants- "Cowboys" (1983)

Sad Lovers & Giants- "Things We Never Did" (1982)

Probably the best of their kind together with Joy Division, early Cure, The Chameleons and The Sound.
p.s. the lyrics of "things we never did" state "we would be traitors, we would forget we were young, we would be helpless, we are the kingdom to come" hmm....
