-- Mixing: the next step?
Pages (2): « 1 [2]
When I mastered beatmatching and EQing, I started trying to think outside the box.
3 deck mixes, layering, cuts, overlaying effected stuff, effects on one of the 3 channels playing, etc.
You can do ALOT. Now that I've mastered all that stuff, I'm starting to learn to scratch...
Oh yea, you could also get a Korg Kaossfader, those are fun (and it's only $200)

The natural next step is to learn how to build up your sets.. Not just playin track after track.
Try to begin with good intro and move on to harder/faster tracks..
Learning building up your sets will increase your skills to be a god dj.
And then you can also learn mashing up with acapellas / a third cdj/vinyl.
