Yeah you're not understanding.

The root of the effect isn't one of the claps that's used in the main perc loop, it's a seperate sound on a seperate channel that was likely created offline. If I were to do this, I'd do it as follows:

1) Load up Adobe Audition.
1a) Load a clap sample.
1b) Reverse clap sample.
1c) Apply desired reverb.
1d) Save this as "Generic_Overused_Whoosh.wav"

2) Load up Ableton Live.
2a) Create a simple kick pattern.
2b) Load "Generic_Overused_Whoosh.wav" into a seperate track.
2c) Throw a compressor on the whoosh track, set it to sidechain with the source being the kick.

3) Press Play.

lol.. Yeah this sound is really overused.. You can hear it in almost every new trance songs

yup just the clap of the track reversed with a 3/4 delay on it. could also be sidechained reverb. i think its delay tho.
