as opposed to the political strong-arming of the intel services during bush's term?? what DID clinton do the intel community?

its all meaningless now, but i think gore would have paid stronger attention to clinton's warning about al qaida than did bush (ie it was impossible for him to pay less).

OK, then do me a favor and back up your crap and explain how by Bill Clinton doing in your words the exact same thing as George W. Bush he was worse. Explain how the country was better off during his presidency if he was the same and the country did so poorly during the Bush administration.

As you saw in November, people in the US give more of a shit about their quality of life than spreading democracy and the US ideal through out the rest of the world.

You are squarely in the minority now and probably will stay there for a long time until the US again slips back into the comfort where they begin to worry about thing that dont matter, like who is running Iraq.

It was a combination of Eisenhower's remaining years and Kennedy, Johnson's administration is what really botched it though.

Lets be fair here though, Nixon didn't handle it any better, and the US did a total withdraw under Ford.

That war was lost before it was even started.

what? youre referring to pre-war intelligence. what does that have anything to do with the first nine months of 2000?

Clinton and Gore were not as friendly or agreeable as you might think back in 2000. I think Gore would have gone off on his own tangent.

nothing, i repeat, NOTHING Gore ever said or did while in office for 8 years would lead me to believe he would have gone after anybody or anything other than what Gore thought was important

just pointing out that your boys displayed a less than stellar performance when dealing with their own intel issues but i don't plame you for focusing elsewhere!

oh, im not saying they were lovers or anything, but im sure gore would have listened to clinston's stark warning about al qaida moreso than bush did (which was not at all).

reading that article now, cheers.
