http://jane-finch.com/ - has videos about the name change. Apparently a slang name is "Doomstown"

I lived around there for a few months in pre-gangsta times, if I ever drive thru again I'm rolling down the windows & playing Jelleestone's Doomstown track:

J&F = the corridor, lane, etc...

It'll always be J&F

P.s. Jellistone could never say he's a Finch man.
The only big name rap act to come out of Finch are the Dream Warriors
