don't compare fayaree to ummie.

sure he might be retarded, but he at least tries not to look like he came out of an add to help starving children with only pennies a day.

you could make a difference for less than the price of a cup of coffee!

I am using this thread because I don't feel like making one just for this:

What vegetable, other than asparagus, goes well with a hollandaise?
(I'm thinking brussel sprouts but that's pure speculation)

Posted by elFreak on Jan-14-2009 21:17:

pretzels.

it is a sauce for meat ffs.

Posted by Frenchie on Jan-14-2009 21:21:

Brussels. Ewwy.

Posted by Ania_xox on Jan-14-2009 21:23:

not exclusively!

I read that artichokes go well with it
*pukes* but they are definitely not an option

I've made it with asparagus before but I want to make it with a veggie that the kids will eat.

You can do mixed veggies like carrots, parsnips, turnips, zucchini, eggplant, jicama, asparagus, peppers, and brussels sprouts

But Ania, most kids don't like hollandaise sauce AND most kids don't like veggies...

lol, brussel sprouts are yummy.

Posted by elFreak on Jan-14-2009 21:27:

why the hell would you need to put sauce on veggies?

jesus h christ, that defeats the whole purpose of them.

seasoning =/= sauce

Brussel sprouts are so tasty but they smell horrid. Sort of like Heineken, except for the tasty part.

elfreak lost his legs in a horrendous construction crane accident 5 years ago, you insensitive git!

Posted by Ania_xox on Jan-14-2009 21:37:

because we have fresh fish that smells so fishy and wonderful and needs nothing to spice it up
(i'd use the sauce for sole or some other bland fish)

so I'm making a sauce for the veggies

fuck jay
tips or stfu
amid swearing, i expected something from you

Posted by elFreak on Jan-14-2009 21:39:

if the fish was fresh it would not smell.

tip: let someone else cook.

Yeah, nothing smells both 'fishy' and 'wonderful' at once.

Let someone else cook.
