However, he said that technically when one crosses over the line, it is considered an infraction but in my case it was OK.

YAY!!!! I'll be getting back my $381.00!!!

Now I'm waiting to see if a get another thingy in the mail from the same corner that I said "cheese" about a month ago!

funny story - my friend got one of these photo tickets about two years ago - the photo was hella funny - it was a clear shot of her with her big azz sunglasses, smoking a cigarette, talking on the cell phone and holding a cup of coffee. hahahha

i was surprised to not see her putting on mascara too ..hahahha

Just load all the Red light camera/speed camera POI's into your GPS and you wont have to worry about it.

It's a weird corner, Slauson & Gage. The intersection isn't like a cross "+", it's kinda like in a slant plus the line is almost faded and well... it's just weird plus there is no cross walk. I think the camera is there for people that probably aren't going to dispute the ticket.

I read an article in the LA Times once (maybe a year ago?) that 70% of camera flash violations at intersections are actually for this:

Rolling through a red light (without stopping)! So all these people go to court thinking they were fine since they didn't sail through an intersection when the light was red, and then they get shown a video of their "rolling right turn." Making a right turn while rolling is an entirely different story tho...

I'm really happy they dismissed your ticket, that's enough for an EDC 2-day VIP ticket, I'd rather get one of those!

I once got a camera ticket in the mail and it was a picture of my girlfriend doing her make-up in the rearview mirror while running a red light.
