so i thought for sure i was going to get a bunch of "you're stupid" but that's not the case! i guess my tattoo is on hold and i really do miss alcohol and ciggarettes.. but i'm almost 27 and i know i want to have at least 1 more kid.. i can't see myself having any more than 2, and i want to get the pregnancy part over with while i am still somewhat young. Besides.. rowan is getting bored, and she told eli to piss off the other day which tells me she needs another kid to put her in her place. So here's hoping i don't get massive again, i will probably reclaim my crown of shameless public vomiting and flatulence and all the other glamourous side effects of pregnancy. thanks for your well wishes and perhaps i can live vicariously through you all for the next 9 months..

hahaha so you were right

Newborn babies are the best fucking thing on the face of the earth, I'm convinced. And nothing is more heartwarming than that look of euphoric bliss on a new mom's face when she meets her baby for the first time.

*squeal*

Here's to hoping you have a speedy delivery.

Posted by wienerschnitzel on Jan-18-2009 16:49:

i hope so.. the first one was 3 days. the morphine was good though.. and my sister came to hang out with us in the labour/delivery ward so late at night we would steal one of those empty baby bin trolleys and wander around the hallways and i'd ask people really panic-y "have you seen my baby? (while it was quite obvious i was very very pregnant still. we made the best of the situation.

Posted by Silky Johnson on Jan-18-2009 16:53:

Goddamn...how long was the actual delivery though? Like from full dilation to birth? Was it vag birth? How many hours did you push for?

This one woman I helped last week had her kid in 15-20 minutes from the time of her water breaking. She was a fucking champ. No perineal tearing either.

Posted by elFreak on Jan-18-2009 16:58:

congrats!

seriously meg, on a scale of 1 to 10, how crazy and flatulent do pregnant girls usually get? How much will I have to fake enjoying sex?

this is crucial to me.

Posted by Silky Johnson on Jan-18-2009 17:01:

My maternal nursing text has a bunch of pics of approved sexual positions for during pregnancy. Lol.

Posted by elFreak on Jan-18-2009 17:03:

i just don't know, i know i won't be able to poke it in the head...i just can't wrap my mind about telling a fat chick i love her and she is sexy as she farts inches away from my wang.

meg, need pointers big time on this.

no facebook wall either

my contractions started on day one but i didn't start dialating until day 3 and that was about 6 in the morning and i had rowan at 5:45 at night.. it took about 45 min to push her out and it took them half an hour to sew me back together from perninal tearing, labia tearing.. you name it i had an epidural though, which was awesome until after labour when the freezing came out and they stuck a cathader up there with all my fresh stitches and it felt like my asshole was inside out..

jay it depends on the girl but the more awesome the girl the more crazy and flatulent i say. you also might want to practice your best 'getting off' face now, or only have sex in the dark. and wtf are you asking for assuming you are not planning on having sex with me.. did i miss something here?

Posted by elFreak on Jan-18-2009 17:10:

baby time and i have no clue what to expect here. I am errr a little nervous.

Shit. You know...I used to think "If/when I have a baby I hope it's breech so I can have a cesarean." But after seeing both kinds of deliveries, and even knowing what it does to the vagina...I think I'd rather have vag delivery.

There's no reason why you shouldn't be going to the OBGYN with your woman and asking lots of questions/getting yourself informed. Or call up telehealth (do they have that in Quebec?), they have nurses and nurse practitioners available to answer all kinds of health/medical questions and concerns.

Posted by elFreak on Jan-18-2009 17:14:

yeah, i am not so much worried about the medical side, only the crazy hormonal woman side. I am going to do all the doctors appointments, courses and so on. Some things the doctor can't teach.

its early in, so i just want an idea from someone with a little experience before the storm hits.

Posted by wienerschnitzel on Jan-18-2009 17:20:

lol jay i'll fill you in later.. you'll be fine. i have to run..
