Even if it was before the birth...adults typically say "the baby", not "it". I think it shows his maturity regardless.

Why couldn't they do the responsible thing - send the girl off to a another country for the pregnancy, then raise the daughter as her sister?

I mean, doesn't anyone believe in traditional values anymore?

the baby probably IS her sister, that kid hasn't even hit puberty he's just a patsy for their dirty family secrets.

Ya, because the entire extra YEAR we get here in Canada makes ALL the difference, lol!

Have they raised age of consent to 16 yet?

do you see us making it to front pages with that kinda stuff? no! in fact teen prenancy rates have been on decline in the past decade or so, http://www.sexualityandu.ca/teachers/data-6.aspx

Are they going up in Britain? The fact that it made front-page is probably BECAUSE it happens so very rarely... The comment about age of consent is either a moot point and has nothing to do with any raise/decline in teen-pregnancy rates, or, there's a significant difference between 13 and 14 year olds, and their likely-hood to engage in responsible sex habits

nope, it's just rarely reaches us - teen pregnancies are actually fairly high in both UK and US, not sure which one is on the first place - UK has the highest rate in Western Europe

Age of consent:

USA = 18
Britain = 13

Both have high pregnancy rates among teens. So it doesn't have anything to do with the age of consent That was my only point.

I knew a couple who had a kid in grade 8. She's actually doing really well now and is a very good mom. Of course, the deadbeat dad bailed on her and she raised her baby alone. It still sucks big time though and just isn't right!

Spam they raised age of consent in Canada to 16 around May last year.

um, I don't think that really has anything to do with it. You don't think this has happened here, or in the USA or in any other country? Not everyone loses their virginity at 21 on their wedding night. I was 15 (and some here were probably younger) when I started to get sexually active. Would I go back and change that because I might have been too young to have sex? Highly unlikely.

I love how the anti-abortion activist says it's to be blamed on sex education taught with no morals or whatever. Fucking bible thumper. It's more likely because the kid WAS NOT properly educated about sex and safe sex, either in the school system or by his parents, that this happened.

Well it turns out the kid might not be the father after all. 2 other teens have stepped forward saying they had sex with the slut of a mom about the time she got preggers.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/news/blog...-teenage-father

quote:
By this weekend, two other boys had come forward to suggest they, and not Alfie, might be the father. Richard Goodsell, 16, and Tyler Barker, 14, told the News of the World that they had intercourse with Chantelle several times around the time she fell pregnant.

quote:
Both boys and their parents have made sworn statements in front of a solicitor detailing their nights of sex with Chantelle.

But Chantelles family insist she lost her virginity to Alfie and 7lb 3oz Maisieborn after a five-hour labour at Eastbourne Hospitalis his.

Four-foot Alfie says the baby was conceived when he was just 12 after a single night of unprotected sex. Chantelle claimed she was on the Pill but forgot to take it.

A virgin and on the pill??? my ass.

I want to see a DNA test.

was looking for a bday thread for spyder but didnt see one & saw this thread so had a gander. Can say that unless things changed in the last couple of years, the age of consent is 16 in the UK although as you see here, it's not very usually adhered to. When you see the interviews with the parents, you can kinda realise how it happened though.

I know people who are virgin's and are on the pill for other reasons.

2 other boys came out and said they had sex with her, yet the 15 yr old claims to have been a virgin, yet has unprotected sex once, forgot to take her pill and gets knocked up. It sounds to me like she's a liar and who didn't just "forgot to take her pill".

Even if you forget to take it once, it's not like its effectiveness drops to zero. It still works if you've been taking it regularly.

She just sounds like a young, fucked up, slut to me.

Granted, it stabilizes hormone levels to keep acne at bay and other bodily reactions due to fluctuating hormones... but this slut doesn't appear to be the ideal candidate. Like I said, I couldn't wank properly at 13, especially before my voice dropped, so I can't buy that kid being the father.
