flyers out...

Posted by California LT on Feb-18-2009 01:30:

Does anyone know whether Zabiela and Nic will play together the whole time? I'm thinking they may just be playing solo slots based on the flyer and ticket not saying 1+1 anywhere.

Last year Nic went after Tom Budden, followed by Zabs, followed by both of them. Was the best party musically of my WMC by far! Enjoy, guys. http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...35&forumid=101#

They weren't better than Howells @ Set

I agree that Nic was awesome though One of the first times I heard the Radio Slave mix of Grindhouse tool and Cirez D mix of Total Departure. There were some other really awesome tunes that Nic played!

Well, the first few hours of Howells bored the shit out of me. They didn't.

Same on those tracks. Will never forget how much I was freaking out since the Studio A sound system was so fantastic that night.

Well if you're not into deeper house/deep tech you're just not going to like the first part of Howells sets. I like to hear that sort of stuff before getting into the ripping techno. Howells can build it up better than the dj's at Studio A. That's why JZ was there to see Howells (and interfere with him trying to mix). If he was playing how he was the last 3 hours of his set the whole 7 hour set the entire place would have cleared out because noone can take that for that long unless you're used to Chris Liebing ripping techno all the time

Burridge is another that is like this. I love both Howells and Burridge.

+10 for this. Their 11-hour tag team set at Giant Venture at the Bonaventure hotel for NYE was the stuff of legends.

-1 for you being there and me not being there

Posted by Brian Scott on Feb-18-2009 18:41:

If all goes to plan, I'll get to see Howells, Burridge, and Zabiela on 3 consecutive nights in Miami. Howells on Wed, Burridge on Thur, Zabiela on Fri.

I think I just messed my drawers...

+1 on the bump

Studio K used to be Studio A, right next door to Space. I have never been to Kore/Suite, so I don't have a basis for comparison. I went to Studio A/K last year for the Dirtybird party and it was pretty cool. It's a typical club; nothing fancy, nothing really lacking. I'd say this is a non-issue except for those who will have difficulty traveling to Downtown instead of staying in SoBe. It's inconvenient for me (I could walk to Kore from my condo), but One+One should be worth the bus/cab fare downtown.

What about the Saeed Younan Show that's scheduled for that night and the afterhours?

I really wanted to see Zabiela play an extended set. Now, I'm hoping for 2 hours at best. My guess is he and Nic just tag team the entire time for 1.5-2hrs.

Ya. I liked that close to the condo bonus to the night.... Oh well. They'll be worth the travel.

that really sucks guys!

Suite was fuking awesome.

I went to Studio A once when I lived in Miami .... it was for an 80's new wave night so I didn't stay too long.
