Dr Manhattan has a tiny little dick in the comic. But it's blue, so that's cool, I guess.

but i'm sure he can make it ginormous whenever he feels like it

SO excited for this - already bought my tickets - and even more excited for the 3.5hr DVD

Apparently we see a lot of it in the movie.

She looks so much better as a brunette.

Got my tickets today. Here are some actual clips from the film that just got posted up recently at Joblo.

Gives you a good idea of the way it's playing out and the music as well.

Anyone keep up with this Youtube channel?

They got a couple of neat vids up.

DC comics suck.

Posted by letsparty on Feb-25-2009 22:08:

So Watchmen just had it's world premiere in London and the reviews are very mixed... apparently, if you are not familiar with the comic and don't have those expectations... you will enjoy it. Otherwise, one critic said,
"This two-and-a-half-hour wannabe pop culture epic isn't the worst superhero movie ever made ... But it is one of the most spirit-crushingly disappointing" (Robbie Collin of News of The World)

Early Reviews: Worth Watching 'Watchmen'

Luckily I'm not familiar with the comics and I don't have any expectations aside from the trailers I've seen... I still plan on seeing it March 6th

Posted by bas on Feb-26-2009 00:51:

Based on what I've seen from the trailers I find that VERY hard to believe. The movie is like 90% shot for shot remake lol

This fucking moron obviously hasn't read the book, lol. That was the whole fucking POINT of Watchmen, god.

Posted by enydo on Feb-26-2009 01:01:

Reviews I've seen so far have been pretty positive.

Posted by Silky Johnson on Feb-26-2009 01:02:

Fuck a review. I'll be sitting right up front with my (bf's) copy of the book when I go see this shit.

I really think you should be down here to see it. I do.

Posted by Silky Johnson on Feb-26-2009 01:04:

Yeah and drag Jimmy's ass? I wish. He'll be mad if I see it without him.

Posted by Aortik on Feb-26-2009 01:04:

I've been really looking forward to this for some time now, but I can't help but feel it's so terribly fucking... unnecessary.

The comic was absolutely perfect. There's really no improving on it. This is just another cash-in by production companies on other people's great ideas.

Posted by Silky Johnson on Feb-26-2009 01:05:

Whatever, shut the fuck up. This is going to be awesome and I'm all for it.

Oh yeah, well I'll be rocking out my Dr. Manhattan costume.

I cannot imagine this falling short of your most fanciful of dreams, considering how easily amused you are.

Posted by Frenchie on Feb-26-2009 01:07:

I'm planning a huge robbery for the movie billboards I saw yesterday.

Posted by Silky Johnson on Feb-26-2009 01:07:

I may be easily amused...but I have high expectations when it comes to the shit I nerd out to, ok?

Posted by Aortik on Feb-26-2009 01:08:

Ok, I'm sorry, I was out of line.

Posted by Silky Johnson on Feb-26-2009 01:15:

Yeah, yeah you were. Never let it happen again.
