Hang on, did you do a full uninstall, restart then fresh install with the new downloaded driver?

If not, then do that. Also, if it has problems being recognised, swap the usb cable, and do as eric suggested and swap the midi cables.

I'm thinking that the USB cable is OK, because when he plays notes on the voyager keyboard, Logic is registering MIDI input, but try it anyway, just to be safe.

Also, apparently the Voyager has a MIDI Rx indicator light, which he had told me has never lit up. This is why I'm thinking it had to be a problem with with the OUT port on the interface or the IN port on the voyager (less likely).

I know it's a longshot but there could be a very slim chance of a bad connection with the usb cable, but it is doubtful.

Now, if the Midirx light has never lit up then it's one of those two things as you describe....but I've just remembered that the fastlane is a 2in 2 out, so maybe he should try the other OUT port?

HAAAAAAA I FUCKIN GOT IT

ok so you guys were right about the cables.. i did everything you stated above.. then i started messing with cables and said hmm why is the midi in light only turn on when i hit the keys...

so i swapped both from port A to port B on the midi interface

it is weird because in the manual it says they need to be in port A and blah blah.. anyways im happy that it is playing back now.. and if you dont mind i need to get back to making hits loll

so i think i've learned to never quit because i was almost about to!
