I applied twice - my 2nd and successful application took 98 days I applied under the new Can. Experience Class

6 years?

1 yr to become a citizen? I had to wait 3 years as a landed immigrant to become a Canadian citizen.

depending on the class, conditions vary for the class I applied under I needed a degree and 1+ year of working experience in Canada
processing time was BEYOND fast! being a brand new class, it doesn't have that many applicants yet
