Damn, just listened to this identity, what a shit, horrible remix of The Killers in some oldstyle synthpop with stupid "Oh, Oh,Oh" vocals, then near a half of show listened like some opera, even don't know such tracks. Liked SvD in 2005-2007. Last year i even didn't want to update tracklisting archive. Nothing interesting in his pop oriented sets.

He said that part 1 has more emphasis on the vocals and since synthpop is a sub genre originating out of post-punk that has that late 70s early 80s sound...you would expect it to have that type of melody wouldnt you? I really dont know what you were expecting... Either way he will be releasing part 2 shortly where he focuses much more on the beat rather than the vocals.

btw that other song you are talking about is called Bardo State - The Jezebel Spirit (Bart Claessen Remix)

Its not opera lol...its called melodic progression

I expect from SvD techtrance like he produced and played it in 2006. Punk'd, Loaded, Dark Roast, Bling Bling, S.O.S., Control Freak e.t.c. That's why i liked him a lot, and i expacting exactly that type of sound. He was nobody, but everybody played his tracks, as they where awesome, his early Sam Sharp remixes, which were played by PvD and i listened them first. But last years SvD changed his style to booring more minimal sound and i don't like him anymore and didn't dowload Identities for a few months. Do not understand, why do DJs at the start of the career play music which they really like and something original, which differs from others, but then just change to more commercial stuff to earn money and don't care about music which brings them such popularity. The same now with Markus Schossow, but he too early decided that he's already a big star to became another clone of Armin van Buuren number 528. Shame on those commerial DJs, who changed their syle just to earn more money, but it's very good for the beginers to rise on original music. If i'm a DJ, i would play dark trance, i like that style the most from others, but i don't now any DJ who would choose that style.

The music is always changing and so is the DJ's style will change, sometimes less good direction.
In 2007, I liked Sander's style, I think has to mature. This is really coming for me. The last broadcast was in fact not the usual level.
But I like it.

We still get it and in about the same quantity. He produces on about the same level he did in 2006, Roundabout is just amazing (fuck the SP remix, just SvD main room). It's just on an identity you can expect to hear some weird-ass songs, that's the point of the show. His live sets are still more or less what they were and if anything I'd say in his selfcast sets were better than his sets in 2006, more techtrance type songs and very few vocals.

You have to accept that there will be a difference between a studio set and a live set, that's the case for every DJ and has been the case also with Sander since the start.
