-- bring your own lunch?

always i specifically cook every sunday and/or another odd days during the week for lunch. i prefer to a)know exactly what i'm eating b)save money and c)save time. i run errands during my lunch and/or work through it so no point in contending with lunchtime traffic in midtown. i made a delicious split pea soup late last night
and last week my turkey meatloaf was ridiculous. i can throw down in the kitchen if i so desire.
i gave myself a $40/month budget for eating out for lunch. not much so usually i eat left overs from dinner, but if there is none, i would eat campbell's healthy select soups with a sandwich or chef boyardee. like today!
I buy my lunch every day. The last thing I want when I get out of bed in the morning is to have to spend a few minutes making a fucking sandwich - Those few minutes are much better spent hitting the snooze button one more time.
And the same goes for the night before. I have far more pressing matters such as watching TV and fondling my balls.

In the U.K we have this place called greggs , which sells pastries , sandwiches , baguette sandwiches and sausage rolls. There is one pretty much in every decent sized town in the UK and tbh its the biggest boon to the lazy bastard luncher ever.
Fookin hell you have to try it.
Mrs. Hazard will usually cook me something I can reheat the next day for lunch... it's part of her job.
I bring my own lunch majority of the time. I'll eat out 1 a week maybe. It's much healthier to bring your own food, and it's way cheaper, regardless of how much you make.

i live close enough to work so that i can drive home if i want to (it's like a 10 minute drive) so i do that a lot and make a sandwich or something leftover from dinner. if i eat out at lunch it's usually healthy (sandwich/sub or a chicken salad). i have the occasional pizza or fast food though for lunch...i really try to avoid fast food i only do that like once a month...or sometimes i go like 3 months without it.

your waist might not like to always eat at the restaurant!
Ah man...there were so many tempting goodies at the hospital today. FUCK. This whole discipline thing sucks. I'm really looking forward to stuffing my face with cake/cookies/whatever on my cheat day, lol. I'm gonna get the bf to take me out to dinner.

i normally try to bring lunch every day except for fridays when i have lunch dates with my friends at work. it's nice to reward ourselves at the end of the week and get out of the office for a bit.
i'm a big fan of sandwiches, soup & bread/crackers, leftover pasta, leftover thai take-out, frozen mac & cheese from Trader Joes, cheese and crackers with an apple, and salads.
i also keep a stockpile of nuts, granola, and tea at my desk for when i need an extra boost.
Yeah I don't see what the big deal is. I set aside a few hours at the beginning of the week to make a lot of my meals, not just lunch.
My bf and friends were making fun of me for how I have everything all anally organized in my freezer. I individually bag marinated portions of beef, chicken, and fish when I buy all that shit at the grocery store. Then all I have to do is take it out the night before and grill or broil it or whatever. Saves so much fucking time...I mean aside from the initial prep.
Making lunch in the morning is for suckers.
seriously. i barely have time to get dressed in the mornings. if i don't make my lunch the night before, i know i will either have to buy it or not eat.
Sometimes I just pick out random items in the fridge until my lunchbox is full.
I end up with the weirdest combos, but I'm usually too hungry to care.
