so it was my first time out to a festival in ages and yeah i reckon probably about a 6/10 from me. the crowd is predomnantly hero wankers these days, wtf? the funny shit i heard muzzers say in the toilet was priceless
"anyone got any flipperz or what?! use are all for the tip!"
"have you got my back or not bro?"
"where is he? lets go find him bro we'll take him out"
good to see some old faces in stips and the panas. missed philby
rofl. so armin wasnt too bad.. wasnt the best either.. whats with all the techy shit? some of the tunes would have the nicest breaks in them and then all the sudden turn to the dark side. i like my tech but what ever happened to epic? maybe im just "oldschool"
loved the new version of let the light shine in though, tickled my balls. sigh i walked out and heard strange world in the background
.
i think im gonna check out some more intimate club gigs again cause i found it to be way over packed in hisense. is it always like this these days? or was it just last night?
^DAVEY BOY!!!!
heh - yep its always like that.
i been saying it for a while now - club gigs / underground / outdoor events are more the way to go mangz
anyone know the offical tracklisting for Armins Set
fuck armins tracklist....... TYDI was the main man that night!! He played an absolute 10/10 set!! fucken holy shit the tracks he dropped!!! dogzilla, as rush comes, singing satellite.. and just a lot fkn more
you were right, but how am i supposed to know which posts to believe julesy? you need to preface a thread with "not a drunk post>" lol.

) I think that holds my opinion in reasonable stead....
Couldnt agree with this statement anymore soups.. I've only been gone a few years and theres been a massive turn around.. These events are now a place to be seen for tossers and their minions..

| The majority actually care about things like massive set-rigs, clown dancers and all of that 'glamourised' shit because clubbers themselves have become more glamourised. Now instead of phat-pant ravers who are there simply the get off their heads and dance all night, you have girls who want to show off their bodies like sluts, and male skegs who cant wait to remove their shirts to show off their last 6months in the gym. Interesting how we used to complain about the phat-panters, however i'd be quite happy to dance in a pack of them, compared with the rock-ape like creatures that frequent dance parties now. |

this is 100% what is wrong with the dance scene in Melbourne now... and perhaps the whole world.. i dont know!!
the strange thing is, apparently greeks/italians/lebonese/turks or whatever the hell they are don't act like this in their native country.
i suppose muzza knows no bounds..
what do these people do 9-5?? Are they the personal trainers/mechanics/adminstrative assistants or part of the 5.5% unemployment rate?

LOL^ this is exactly what is wrong with the festival scene

I was actually about to start a thread last night asking if other people thought that festivals were ruining the scene.
They're definitely something to be seen at, rather than being something to go and enjoy the music. Apparently yesterday at We Lvoe Sounds Adelaide there were a large number of girls wearing skanky clothes and mini-skirts. Not so much of a problem normally except it was an outdoor party in a park (ie, mud), about 14 degrees and storms throughout the day. The tool factor is massive at these parties.
And i think that the festivals are ruining the club scene too. Think back 4-5 years, the number of big names playing in clubs was massive. Now, you get very few (relatively) club gigs and mostly festivals. At least thats whats happening here in Adelaide, its not very common to see quality acts in clubs anymore.
I would do naughty things to see some quality acts in a club nowadays. The festivals just don't cut it for atmosphere, sound quality, drink prices and the ability to just let go.
And the strange thing is, the festivals here are massive, but when there is a quality club night the club is deserted. Where are the punters that go to the festivals and claim to love the music? Just further proof imo that festivals are much more about being something to be seen at, or going just because its Future Music or We Love Sounds or Groove etc.
I'm so glad I went to this warehouse party instead. Lovely crowd, serious music, no dick head security/bouncers, cheap alcohol and still good old PLUR all around
Fuck that so called music festivals overpriced Muzztek meat exhibitions!

agreed 100%
