Different to dance music = WRONG.

Posted by Owsey on Mar-07-2009 17:53:

That was fucking awful...How could something like this even be considered for a release?

And the tiesto version of this is a completely un-necessary raping of Ferry corstens remix.

AHEM

Forgetting someone, aren't we?

(I think this is a better remix of them all )

Also, I am pleased by the amount of rage in this thread.

I have just put together a sketch for a remix of Adagio for Strings. I feel it is quite excellent, original, and creative. Have a listen!:

Almost as 'good' as the 1/8th remix on Beatport. Although both need to have more fartsounds in them.

In general, the higher the number, the more it sucks.....

No way dude. Have you heard the '36 mix? String synths are unbelievable but there's no bass drum or anything. Lame.

10/10, good fucking troll

"Adagio for Strings" is to trance producers as "Stairway to Heaven" is to guitar players.

Posted by smekzg on Mar-07-2009 22:45:

"Artist"

Well, I've thrown my hat in the ring already. Let's see your version of the Adagio!

Uh, er...

Ummmm...

*stalling*

Well, uh, I didn't mean anything like that...

Well, okay. But I'm not sure I can do it in twenty-minutes

(Not at all bad, for a version made in twenty-minutes, btw.)

Classic stuff Bo Jingles. I knew producing deadmau5 material was easy, but not THAT easy. No wonder there have been so many rip-offs of his original sound.

To the original poster, Woscar, how was this thread about deadmau5 in the beginning?

LOL, did you even listen to the Beatport sample?

Furthermore the Tiesto remix of Adagio for Strings is a shittiest thing in mankind. A great piece of classic music raped with synths by an untalented baboon.

I know full well of the Samuel Barber version, the real original, obviously. I never said I liked the Tiesto version, but its had its impact, whether you like it or not.

Yeah. Was it really deadmau5-ish? I can't remember, my brain has the marvellous function of forgetting when it's been raped through the ears.

Posted by Adam420 on Mar-08-2009 03:45:

Or maybe I just heard so many versions that I don't know which is which, because I also heard the William Orbit version many times.

And here is another reason I don't listen to trance anymore. It's like stuff gets routinely remade every few years.

Posted by Yoshi on Mar-08-2009 11:45:

OMG, terrible!

Posted by THE_Chris on Mar-08-2009 15:28:

Lets remake a remade classic track and use minimal

Does not compute.

Unless you meant to say 'his initial' sound'

Posted by kliq on Mar-08-2009 19:20:

this tosh is pathetic, and anyone who playlists this junk has really lost all touch with sensibility (ahem ahem, roger shah...)

Adam... im sorry you got railed man... but page 1 of lesson 1 of joining any trance forum pretty much is dont ever call "adagio for strings" a tiesto original...

have seen enough ppl get bashed into the ground for that

Posted by tubby on Mar-08-2009 23:10:

just went over to beatport, and this track is currently #1 onthe trance charts.
further proof, if any were needed, that the charts are no indication of quality.
