do you even need to ask that question?

how do I find the security video on youtube...
I am shocked to hear this on a friday night at Guv of all places.
I figured with the police outdide they would have detered this kind of behavior

Whoever brought up "living in a video 24/7" pretty much nailed it. Only a very small minority of these little pukes have any concept of reality or respect for the law, and there's little that can be done.

are you crazy???? wtf man, if the gun was small enoough!? lol are you really serious with that comment. You honestly dont think that you would be able to feel a handgun on a person if you were sololy required to make sure that guns and drugs are not getting through?

get real man, holy shit what a stupid comment

the last time i went to guv (on a saturday) ive never had a search where the person directly felt around my crotch for a good 5 seconds, looking for drugs persumably.

The search isn't always all that thorough...

You could strap the gun to your back with tape and get it into the club on any night, for instance.

There's only so much success that can be had without metal detectors.

i have to disagree dude,

ive been several times and ive always had a thorough search, having hands pass closely over every part of my body. so i dunno, man. it seems stupid to say that you could bring a gun in unexpected.

i think that the bouncers were paid off. think about it, if you were bringing a gun in, would you risk getting caught during the search and having the cops come..

Posted by Abercrombie on Mar-15-2009 04:09:

Once again... the gun registry proves it's useless.

This should seal the deal for anybody... keep out of any massive hip hop night.

Posted by activate on Mar-15-2009 07:08:

after a bouncer was killed there years ago, i remember that security for a while started using hand held metal detectors. I would be surprised if they didn't start using them again.

All clubs should use them IMO

Talk about stupid comments...

Did you not read this back to yourself before posting???

And for your information, I could sneak in a bomb if I was inclined...

Problem is the type of crowd...not security...

Apparently they always use detectors on Friday nights...

no, this just proves that stupidity exists in this comment.

if this proves the gun registry is useless, it also proves police are useless, laws are useless, hospitals are useless, doctors are useless.

Posted by kaniz on Mar-16-2009 14:04:

Why are people surprised that a gun made it into a club? Am I the only person that has seen people who know security just by-pass the line and walk on in without even getting as much as a minor pat-down?

Posted by Jayx1 on Mar-16-2009 16:29:

You invite a troubled crowd, you invite trouble. Thats all im saying

You can disagree all you want, I know for a fact that based on the searches I've gone through over the 60+ times I've been to Guvernment, that getting a weapon in is as easy as taping it to my back.

Arms and legs are a no go, they lightly check your arms and legs (although a few joints in the pocket on my arm have slipped through easily enough).

Crotch is a no-go, they often cup my balls searching for things. Although I suppose claiming I got a boner might work.

A gun won't fit in your wallet, which are never checked. So no-go

But never, never in my life, have I had a person feel my back in a pat-down. Probably something they should start doing then.
