Lots of words...what's your point? I'm saying there are more small accidents on the road with small injuries than there are in the air. You're saying there are lots of airplane fender benders that the public doesn't know about, really?

He is right. Like he said, your not in the industry therfore you dont hear about it.

My point and "lots of words" was to illustrate that just as in the auto world, there are probably 50-100 fender benders for every lethal accident. It's no different in the aviation world. For every fiery accident you see on TV, there's many many near misses or non-fatal accidents that don't get coverage. Obviously they aren't called fender benders in the aviation world. Depending on the type of issue, they're classified as either accidents or incidents. It could be anything from an elderly lady falling down and getting hurt walking to the washroom in turbulence, to planes clipping wings while taxiing on the apron, or the ground crew running a tug into the plane. Lots of small stuff happens every day.
