Ok I'm going to watch it a few times...but if I don't see it, I'm reporting back in here that you must of had too many extras in your red bulls when you watched it.

You ever see Fight Club?

Things EXACTLY like that. But mostly different.

Anyone else wanna watch it...here's the link people.

It's called The Obama Deception.

How could it. Everyone reports different things online.
US News reported 58 billion and Huffington Post said 90 billion.
CNN Money reports 3 trillion http://money.cnn.com/2008/11/05/new...ilout/index.htm

Reporting agencies are confusing....Who really knows how much has left the reserve?

What I do know for sure is that the banks and Wallstreet did profiteer.

And the people who said Obama is great just got egg on their face. Can't help but watch it all come down now that the weeks are rolling in. It's like watching a black version of bush.

I'm pretty sure, positive actually, that most of your numbers are incorrect.

The TARP was $700billion.
Stimulus package (Obama's first bill in office) was $875B or so.
Geitner's plan announced this week was $1 trillion.

There are many many speculations on how much it will take to pull the US out of the recession. But the entire global financial system WOULD HAVE COLLAPSED without US government intervention. There is broad consensus amongst top economists that this is true. Is the money going to be tracked down to every cent? Of course not. But this level of spending is necessary in the short term.

I see no problem with having the proper stimulus and recapitalizing many of the small or regional banks. However, there is a $400 trillion derivatives monster waiting in the closet, mainly held by JP Morgan Chase, Citi, Bank of America, AIG, and one or two others. These too big to fail banks should be sent into FDIC receivership and bondholder/shareholders forced to take losses immediatley. This will put us no a track to recovery much quicker instead of a multiyear recession similar to what Japan experienced in the 1980s.
You can't keep paying off debt with more debt.

Obama is clearly NOT the most powerful man in American politics. Come on, anyone with half a brain in their head knows that the President is kept in the dark on many issues. I'm quite sure he has struck a few deals here and there and he has broken some promises and will break a few more, as all politicians do.

But for fuck sake, he's been in office for what...65 days? Let's be a little bit more patient before we start saying he's an Illuminati pawn.

I am very certain myself that this "crisis" has been engineered in some manner by people in positions of wealth, power and influence. I don't know how deep it goes and none of us probably will, since we're just the modern peasant class anyway. I do not trust people with wealth, and I certainly do not trust anyone who runs any kind of financial firm or is involved with banks. They're all crooks, it's as simple as that. Every last one of them. No offense to anyone, but being a big time banker is just as bad as being a lawyer. Fucking blood suckers, the lot of them.

I know this is more about the USA but what happens there affects us.

Fact: Everyone Obama appointed to office came from Wall Street or were Lobbyist. First he said he wouldn't appoint them and then he appointed them to office.

Did you know that: Tim Geithner (former Pres of Fed. Reserve Bank) now head of Treasury, and Rahm Manuel (former wallstreet exec) now chief of staff, engineered the AIG banker bailout deal.
AIG got $170 mil in Fed Reserve Loan and despite that Obama said he signed an executive order capping the CEO salaries, all major banks and brokerage firms were exempt.

It's estimated that $5 Trillion disappeared out of US treasury from this bailout and the estimate is now climbing to over $8 trillion. Under pressure AIG had to release a list of where the money went to. The largest chunks went to Wall Street and banks in USA and Europe.

Wall Street firms Goldman Sachs and Merrill Lynch round out the top four, receiving $2.5 billion and $1.8 billion.

Now what do you think of Obama?

You forgot to mention the part where no Jews died in 911.

OK took break from watching this movie. Will hold my review till after I watch it again.

OK my reply to you is that I found the link. Went to my history and sourced it.

Here it is...the claim about $8 Trillion came from the business insider reported Jan. 6, 2009.

Read "The Business Insider Report"

Oh and DJ Smitty 20...so far no one is declaring Obama as an "Illuminati pawn" other than you. Even the movie I'm watching doesn't claim that either. If you wanna blindly trust then go ahead. I don't think I'm prepared to throw myself to the sharks as easily as you are. Here's a spoiler for you...no one is going to save you once your knee deep in that water so you better start swimming fast.

tonybologna...I find it hard to believe that last comment about no jews dying in 911. Facts....where are the facts to prove this?

OK back to the movie I go

That was me that wrote that. And there are no facts to support that. Thats the point. Its just one of those claims that crazy conspiracy theorists go on about without realizing how anti-semitic the thought is. I was trying to say that you're crazy.

It's actually a fact that's mentioned in the movie.

Right between the 7 horsemen and the arrival of Tom's UFO.

That actually sounds pretty kick-ass. But where are the joooooooos in this conspiracy!?

so you don't think that the individuals running these financial mega firms in the US aren't crooks (or their lawyers)?

Do you think that traders and investors and bankers are honest people?

Posted by Skipper on Mar-26-2009 01:46:

I work for a Toronto brokerage firm... I believe we do good, honest work.

You cannot blame a trader...they are simply buying and selling stock for clients. They didn't design this whole mess. The root of the problem is with banks who loaned to everyday clients that they knew didn't understand the terms of the loans and how they would be repaid. The root of this whole mess is the US housing market, and it all started with the subprime loan. You could even say the american consumer is at fault for signing up for something they didn't understand first. But it's not a TRADER that created this problem.

You can also blame investment advisors and rating agencies as well. But not a trader.

This is not new information.

The Ontario Liberals used David Axelrod and Associates, now known as AKP&D, after being defeated by premier Mike Harris and the Progressive Conservatives in the 1999 election.

Mike Harris used star Republican consultant Mike Murphy to win in the 1995 and 1999 elections; wisely the Liberals must have felt it was prudent to use similar American political voter machines.

Its politics.

Sadly conservatives backed, pitched and promoted the worst president in the entire history of america; no one is listening now to what conservatives have to say.

I'll give this guy a fair shot.

So I'm crazy because I read the news? LOL how old are you?
I base my opinions on facts. Conspiracies are entertaining. Next time you try to claim someone is crazy, make sure they aren't expressing an opinion from facts printed by CNN, Financial Post or New York Times.
BTW...I grew up in NYC so stop printing made up crap. Some idiot is gonna believe what you print.

KK watched that movie 2x now and where are the 7 horseman? I can sort of see the subliminal messaging. Guess it's not working on me if I can sort of see it

Oh no!

If newscasters can read from a teleprompter why can't Obama? We all know someone writes his speeches and it looks much better to see him looking in the camera vs. looking at papers on his podium.

The guy is human get over it.

What are you his personal defender? In case you haven't noticed he's a big boy now and has plenty of bodyguards.

He may be human but this wasn't a speech. It was a Q&A and I've never seen a President use a teleprompter for a Q&A. As the President he is accountable for the actions of his office. I think it's weird to see that he needs help with answers for what would be very basic questions about the actions he has taken regarding the AIG Bailout. He didn't need a teleprompter before, even when he was making promises about signing an executive order to cap salaries of CEO's. I suppose this President really is a puppet if he need a teleprompter to give him the anssers?

Posted by ExtremeWays on Mar-26-2009 14:47:

Regarding this whole "teleprompter" meme, it's a silly distraction that some right wing bloggers and cable news hacks have tried to pass off as somehow "proving" that Obama can't talk off the cuff. Except we all know he can, because he did so repeatedly in an 18 month campaign, in several debates, town halls, and press conferences.

The story that he "accidentally" thanked himself when reading from a teleprompter on St. Patrick's day is a lie, he was actually making a joke to take the heat of the PM of Ireland who himself read the wrong comments from a teleprompter. Read This.

I mean, come on people, do a little research before drinking the kool-aid.

As for the post that started this thread: thats the most god-awful, error-filled, poorly spelled piece of crap to hit this board in a while, and that's really saying something. The guy doesn't even know the difference between millions and billions.

Are people so desperate to believe they are the victims of a sinister conspiracy that they'll accept anything?

End of rant. You can all go back to watching Glen Beck and stocking your fallout shelters with canned goods.
