Unlocking your phone will void the warranty. I have worked for all of the service providers and if you bought the phone from a provider and unlocked it your warranty is void.

ahahaha, we know the knowledge of Rogers employees and if you call Rogers many employees say "it's impossible to unlock a cellphone" or "it's illegal unlock your cellphone" ... If ONLY for make more money and sell you an agreement.

it,s VOID warranty when you unlock with SOFTWARE... not whit unlock code...

I bought my phone through Rogers when I upgraded. I have a Nokia E71

Posted by mobileincanada on Apr-10-2009 16:06:

ok, we have unlock many E71 without any problem Contact us if you want

Ppl need to read ....

Re-flashing, modding & etc a firmware will void warrenty.

Unlocking with a code won't void your warrenty.

Well I dont work for Rogers but I have worked for multiple service providers and if you manipulate the phone in anyway from originally manufactured state you void the warranty. I have had phones returned from service depots being denied service because they were unlocked.

Posted by mobileincanada on Apr-10-2009 19:15:

"multiple service providers" but not for Rogers...maybe you have work for bell ??? Telus ??? and many customers come back with a Bell unlocked phone ??? LOL, Stop to say anything... And in a second time, the unlock code is made for work with the cellphone, it's not a "manupulation"....

Actually I dont work for any service providers, but I have worked for Rogers, Fido, Telus and Bell. I dont care if you unlock your phones people, I am just telling you what has happened. MobileinCanada seems like your the only one pushing the issue, could that be because you are the one making the money here?

BTW learn how to speak English.

And if you unlock your phone, it is manipulation from original state.

I did this a month ago for another phone and it cost only $8. Now, I want to unlock another phone and the price has gone up to $14! Any other more cost-effective alternatives out there?

Submited @ 7:30am
Got the code @ 10am

M-F is the best days. Most unlockers don't do anything over the weekend.

This is for unlocking all phone, BUT the iPhone. Iphone do it yourself ... you shouldnt pay anyone to do.

Use RedSnow w/ Ultrasnow @ FW 3.0 & 3.0.1

I never ended up unlocking my old phone (aka the worst phone in the history of the world, the Nokia E71). But I want to unlock it now so that I can use a European SIM card in it when I travel to Europe in July.

The price is now up to $20 for the site that John posted. Is it worth it to go through them, or are there other companies/sites that people recommend?

I have never unlocked a phone before, so I'm not sure how it works. They send me a code and then what do I do with it?

Any help/advice that you have would be greatly appreciated.
