Ya warranty is gonna be included... standard manufacturer. Ill see if i can get the best buy 4year included for under $600
I picked up a 60 inch from a foreclosure sale from a guy out in long beach a few months back.
Was a bitch to put into my truck, but worth it, paid about 300 bucks for the thing including the HD Cables.
Craigslist has some pretty decent people selling their crap Dave. Considering how many people are loosing their jobs here in Cali, you might be able to pick up something pretty decent somewhere Im sure.
Yep, where I'm finding the wholesale places on Craiglists.
Can get the 42" version of that Vizio series for $600 out the door.
Tempted to buy it, but dunno if I should wait for Mr. Waterproofpaper. I'm an antsy person and want it NOW!!!! lol
But I'm about to head up to Van Nuys to try a mattress set (which I can buy online for helllllllllllllllaaa cheap and get same delivery) since I need that by thursday at the latest since I don't have a real bed down here. Michelle has a good futon bed which I actually think is real comfy since I like real, real hard mattresses.....but Devin likes to jump on the bed and he'll destroy that thing.
That said, seems like allt he wholesale places are in orange county and not sure if I want to take the hour round trip to Van Nuys then another 60-90 minute round trip down to places in OC....so maybe I'll wait a couple days to see what he says. Not sure though. I'm antsy.
Thanks peeps!
Dave
Dude, welcome to SoCal. As a lifelong SoCal guy I can tell you that you chose a good area. Ive lived in Culver City, Venice, and Santa Monica before moving to Hollywood. Weather, people, places to eat, very cool. Even driving up to Our Favorite Hollywood stomping grounds is a breeze; 10E Exit La Brea and head North to Hollywood.
Let me know if you need anything; you have always been very helpful on the board, including when I inquired a few weeks ago about my upcoming trip to SF, thanks for that.
By the way, somebody made reference to a Mexican Place on Inglewood and Culver. I believe its called el Habanero, although there is another decent place across the street. Thats REAL mexican my friend, not like Titos Tacos!
Try Gilbert El Indio restaurant on Olympic and 26th also (santa monica). Great Margaritas and Salsa. Cash only though.
Enjoy LA man...

| Originally posted by technofriik Welcome to LA, Dave. Sounds like you got quite a decent deal on the apt lease. I'm also shopping for a 37" 1080p tv for under $1000 atm, so if anyone knows a good model please let me know (sorry for piggypacking on your thread ). |
OK y'all, thanks for all your help. I got a hooked up pretty well. Decided to get a smaller TV than I orginally wanted. Will get a large super pimp LCD after I get a solid job.

I've done A LOT of research on tvs and it's driving me nuts because all the expert reviews I've read are different from each other and many user reviews contradict the expert reviews!
