Exactly. Paul Miller is the shittiest "trance producer" at the moment
$ matters, not the music.. for some people

Enough with all this negative shit.

"oh we hate shitty trance, we hate paul miller! lets ignore paul miller by making 10 threads about him and his shitty music!! lets ignore all trance and expect something good will come out of this..."

I can't count how many rant threads like this ive seen with people saying they know good underground stuff, yet i barely see any of you recommend that "rare" stuff and giving it half the attention youre giving the crappy trance.

I guess making shitty trance is worthwhile after all.

So lets continue playing with dirt.

I'll add fuel to the flame: how about most of the recent tracks sounding "Abletony" or "Livish"?

You know, that kick that has now warmth in it, or that synth pad that is overdelayed, or that bleepiness that just screams of envelopes.

In a lot of music genres its the same, good tunes are hard to come bye. But thats the fun part, to look and search for good tunes and whene you find some its well worth it. I would aggre with you on the paull miller arguement but there are some great "uplifting" tunes coming out, I picked up the Andy Blueman EP(VINYL) and its freaking awesome.

Bwahaha, owned.
Wow, guy was born in '92... makes ME feel old and by trance standards I'm a noob.

Yeah Paul Miller is the next Sean Tyas. Same shit all around these days.

Fucking Hell.

Whatever happened to the good old M.I.K.E, Plastic Boy, Push, Transa, Insigma, Signum, Ronski (Back in the day), Vincent De Moor, Svenson & Gielen, Estuera, T4L etc etc etc.????

Is it so hard to keep making good music?

Unfortunately this seems to remain in history...

Posted by Steve Evets on Apr-13-2009 21:12:

It's the same with literally every form of music these days. The greater commercialization of the music leads to people no longer being innovative and making fresh music, but simply emulating the plan of the last guy who got paid. This leads to more formulaic productions and the diminishing value of each new record. Obviously not ALL music coming out now is like this, but an alarming percentage is. Again, it's not just trance, but you can find that sort of thing going on in just about every form of music from rock to rap to top 40 stuff.

Posted by Zak McKracken on Apr-13-2009 21:14:

and also minimal for those who thinks thats original stuff

Posted by Viber on Apr-13-2009 23:30:

check out this "Heartwork" remix to a Paul Miller tune, not shit at all imo:

Posted by Teezdalien on Apr-14-2009 00:15:

Great post +100!

A bunch of you are acting like nothing but douche bags. Try talking about the great stuff you have/find/listen to, rather than the crap for once, and maybe the crap will fade away. Instead you just sound like a bunch of whiney, ass clowns.

How will crap fade away if we don't single it out of the pile?

Try to imagine an inspection line at a factory, and the inspector getting told, "Oh, you should just let that crap through, stop being a hater!"

Unfortunately, I couldn't find any great stuff these days, talking about trance. BECAUSE 90-95% of new releases are total CRAP!
Or we should start talking about classics all day long?

Posted by MeLLyMeL on Apr-14-2009 04:40:

I'm glad these threads exist.

In hopes that one day *maybe* paul miller can read TA and see how shitty his music is ..... AND stop.

Posted by weymouth on Apr-14-2009 04:45:

I don't even know who Paul Miller is.
